Sex and the City – starring the city and myself….no sex!

Shall I open this with one of my fave quotes from the show, from Samantha: "That's the thing about the Brazilian. It makes you do crazy things. You have to be very careful who you invite to Brazil." Haha! I shouldn't say this is my fave quote as I have a ton of faves and will share some of them with you! [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6--aKu_a-c?fs=1] Let's just say I've been waiting for this moment for a long time as the last time I visited NYC was about 7 years ago and I wasn't so passionate about "Sex and the City" back then... I was busy having babies!! Now, babies are growing and momma is having her fashion moment! The one thing I went to the city to do (besides shopping) was to take the SATC…

New York, New York…

I must confess the last few days were pretty much the highlight of my year. As it may sound shallow I'm a city gal and need a dose of big city pollution, crowds, and traffic jams -once in a while- to keep me fueled! My visit to NYC was fast but filled with laughs, goodies,  great food, and Ah-mazing views ;D   To start off I need to say thanks once again to my dear friends Karin & Luis, who hosted me and did everything possible to assure I had a great time. Thanks guys, I owe you ;) - now not to mention the views of their place, I mean really from one window you could see Manhattan and the Chrysler Building, from the other the Queensboro Bridge and it's stunning lights at…

Sunday Funday!

Little kids birthday parties are another way I'm squeezing a look lately. I know it might sound exhaustive to find the perfect outfit for some, but for me it's actually quite entertaining - given I have the time, which doesn't always happen!      My point being, now a days you have the option to follow blogs for inspiration (easiest and cheapest way) or get yourself a stylist (like ME!!!), people like me are everywhere and ready to help the busy ladies out there. Many luxury stores around the country offer this service for free, just ask ;) another tip for when you are in fact looking for a stylist is to match her style to yours, we all have different styles and that is what differentiate us from one another, and what clients…

LookBook: Date Night

Oh how I love date nights, might be because they are kinda rare, but mostly because lately I have had very little opportunities to dress up, in other words to release my creative self and a date is the perfect excuse to do just that! Ah and have a caipirinha (Brazilian national drink) with hubby which is one of our favorite cocktails ;)     Hangovers aside we had an awesome time in the Valley and I'm looking forward to the next already.   As for my choice of outfit is my brand new "tigresa" little bootie (that I have no shame in say I'm absolutely in love with!) a great pair of faux leather pants with an amazing fit, a basic white silk blouse and a fitted blazer. Not to mention my favorite bracelets from…

TrendReport: Spiky Motorcycle Boots

Some may say: "I'm sick and tired of the motorcycle thing", but for whatever reason this edgy trend has survived for years and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon...   In fact it's just getting yummier and funkier, with spikes all over leather jackets and boots, this is a fun way to innovate and feel the 80's (yet again) from Brit little darling Vivienne Westwood!!!   I seriously got so many compliments on my boots that I just had to share ;)Aldo Boots $180.00I guess the town of Vail is already testing the faux snow machines ;)These are the views of my girls (public) school!!Basic leggings, long sweater (H&M) and a cute leather jacket (XOXO)...yeah babe!!Stella and Dot bracelets www.stelladot.com/kareskeBeijos from the mountains,

LookBook: Harajuku-mini

As my days progress with very little adult interaction, I feel the child inside of me growing stronger and stronger!! hehehe   So as to pay homage to this little phase I'm going through I put together a look with my newest cute little tee from Harajuku-mini! Yes, in case you're wondering it's Gwen Stefani's line for little ones sold at Target! Now, if you let your inner child out you can actually have a great time picking through those babies, did I mention they're 12.99 a piece?!   The only trouble is that this was an XL size, so it's not everyone of us who will be able to take full advantage of then, but what I what I suggest if you can't fit in them is to cut out the cartoonish little people…

TrendReport: Wear your White Jeans Now and Into Fall!

That old rule about white jeans not being allowed after Labor Day is as out as any other rule, really! For one, white is a very strong color for fall 2012, along with coral and cobalt blue - usually colors you associate with spring. Well, I guess this fall will feel like spring ;) - at least in your eyes.Michael Michael Kors ad campaign is a prime example of the chic and crisp white pant transitioning from fall to winter...And he does it so well with the camel accessories (my favorite way to wear white)! What I love about the styling on this photoshoot is that the girl wears gold or silver accessories and looks great and on trend either way. Proving that you can do it too!!!Here's a video showing 10 different ways you…

LookBook: The high and low military look

These pics were taken a few weeks ago without me knowing about the edgy trends...well I guess that's why I do what I do ;)   This idea is to mix the fancier fabrics with the military "worn-out" piece (in this case, a denim shirt). I like to cinch my waist so add a bold belt and finish the look with girly accessories. It adds a personal touch.   Keep in mind this outfit was worn during summer time, for fall I suggest a heavier dress made of wool or velvet to maintain the chic aesthetic and still be playful, even a thick pair of tights with ankle booties will do it!Gold mullet pleated dress, H&M; denim shirt, Ralph Lauren; gladiator military green heels, Shutz. Beijos,

AccessoriZe: Silver time

As fashion related to clothes changes, fashion related to accessories and everything else in the "beauty" industry changes as well, and even though it's obviously GOLD time out there, it's also a great time to mix your metals and to explore them as well. Take a look at the trends and you can see that pretty much anything goes, it's the crazy 2010's for ya...you can totally be yourself and still be in vogue :) oh yes!! So, talking about metals some people simply look their best in silver and that's why my accessory look of the day is for the SILVER lovers out there!!Pyramid Double Wrap Bracelet-Cognac; Vintage Twist Bracelet-Gold (and gun metal); Lindsay Bangle-White; all by Stella & DotAlexandria Necklace; Stella & DotSilk shirt, Vince; suede pant, True Religion; sparkly silver belt,…
