NYFW day 3: Tibi Show, Parties, Hang-outs!

I know that some of you might be like, oh no NYFW again?! Hahahaha I thought about combining both my third and fourth days in one last post. BUT if you're anything like me, I'm sure you were looking forward to more! The posts are lengthy and they would be gigantic if I posted 2 in 1. It's hard to please everyone, so hopefully you're still here :) Day 3 consisted of shooting looks in the morning just around the Soho area. I mean when we have the whole city as a backdrop we don't need to "go" anywhere!! This ChicWish sweater has been on major repeat and even though I initially thought of it for fashion week, I was wearing this guys waaaay before I went! Slouchy Cardi / Gray Boots here and here / Necklaces…

NYFW – Day 2: Flat Iron District. Bollare Showroom. Reward Style Lounge. Front rows. Presentation.

Second day of NYFW was one of our busiest. We started the day shooting an outfit in the morning at the Flatiron District and guess who we saw there shooting too? Yes, my woman crush Becky, yet again! For my morning appointments I chose this Calico Print Maxi Kimono - it's $24 bucks too! [show_shopthepost_widget id="2833861"] After a couple hours there we headed to our appointment at Bollare showroom. Let me explain how these showrooms work (I was thrilled!). You basically walk in and check in. They hand you a bag and give you an overall walk-through of the place. It looks like a boutique with racks of clothing from multiple brands (you can mainly find them at Nordstrom, ShopBop and Revolve). There are shelves with bags, sunglasses, fitness accessories, makeup, skincare and shoes. On a…

NYFW – Day 1 – Skylight Clarkson Sq + Legend Showroom + Sam Edelman’s party

It was 4am by the time I got up and as happy as happy can be I showered and put my make up on! Which totally makes me think of one of my favorite songs by Aretha Franklin..."The moment I wake up....before I put on my makeup....I say a little prayer for you!!", you know how it goes! Yes I was finally heading to NYC for the most exciting time of the year. This is better than christmas for the fashionistas on duty guys!! [show_shopthepost_widget id="2825497"] Hubs drives me to airport (gotta love my man! I owe you hunny!!) and by 9:30 I arrive in the city. We stayed st the Sheraton Tribeca and since the room was not ready yet (as I expected) there I went to explore the hip Lower Manhattan Soho neighborhood!!…

I want to provide you with as many tips and details as I can so you can save time when planning your trip or at least see the amount of work it goes into doing this and decide whether it's worth…

Chicago Mommy & Me Style

I was so sure I would be having lots of time to blog my little life away during summer  break and here I am again, struggling to make it happen at uh....11pm on Monday! Well, I've decided to straighten the priorities once again and Le Blog didn't come in first, nor second or third but it's high up on the list still and I hope you're happy about it!! A couple of weeks ago Bella and I went up to Chicago to work in a  photo shoot for Holly & Tanager handbags and since my bestie Kris was heading up there two days earlier to catch a flight to Brazil I decided to anticipate our trip, give Kris a ride, get a cheap hotel and enjoy my favorite Midwestern city with my oldest baby!!…

The Hampton Social (last chance to enter H&T giveaway!!)

I was really looking forward to write this post as this place is sooooo worth a whole post of its own! Thanks to Andrea who pushed for a visit there we were able to come together and not only shoot at The Hampton Social but have lunch and drinks there too!! Courtesy of the lovely ladies of Holly & Tanager. The place's atmosphere is very nautical and feels right out of a Ralph Lauren ad. "The Hampton Social, found in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, IL, first opened its doors in August 2015. The lifestyle concept - owned, operated and designed by restaurateur Brad Parker - is a restaurant hotspot that evokes East Coast living in every aspect." - THS website located at River North 353 Hubbard St. Sunset Beach (el jimador tequila, peloton…

Le Méridien Indianapolis

There are many beautiful hotels but this iconic boutique hotel exceeded all of our expectations. In the heart of Downtown Indy lays this gem of a place with tons of history behind the building. Let me start by saying I'm still in awe after our incredible stay at the Le Meridien Indianapolis. If you are not familiar with the Le Meridien brand, it was founded in Paris in 1972 and joined the Starwood portfolio in 2005. I can tell you it carries that European understated and contemporary luxury in every room you set foot in. They are known for their award-winning arrival experience and coffee culture featuring an espresso machine in every room and check in area. (bonus points for that!!) A bit of history: Le Meridien Indy debuted in 2014 after a major…

Family Spring Skiing & Our Colorado Love!

It had been four years since I went skiing and man did I miss this! To be honest I didn't realized I missed this much until I put my skis on and started going down the mountain...such a nice presence up those mountains. Besides the most stunning views my little eyes have ever seen, I had sorta forgotten about the way that place makes me feel. How grateful I am to be able to go back to Colorado with the whole fam and to be able to share with you here our little adventure. Most exciting I love registering this memory so we can look back at it as often as we want. I hope you'll enjoy it too. If you are new to KSD you might not know we lived in Vail, CO…

The land of the Joyful: Brazil – Part 1

Hello Hello ladies and gents, I hope the new year is treating you to an amazing start. As for mine this past month has been filled with great moments of slow living and reflection as well as lots of cleaning and decluttering because this gal here is ready to start her best year yet!!! How about you? For starters I wanted to share with you my 10 day trip back home to Brazil to visit my fam. In this post you'll find a few curiosities about Brazilians and things you should look forward to do if you're planning a visit to either one of these spots! Due to financial pressures (aka lack of funds) the rest of my peeps didn't make it, so it was my chance to fly solo! For those of you who…

Nashville for Families Uncovered

If you thought Nashville is a party place full of bars and party peeps bar hopping and listening to great music, you got it right! Hahaha but that's not all Nashville offers, much to the opposite. It is a great family getaway for the midwesterns with kids like us.  Over fall break back in October we got to play in the Nashville scene and we loved, so much that we cancelled our saturday games and kiddos sleepovers just to stay an extra day in the music city! First off we didn't know much about Nashville except from a few friends (thanks Kelly &  Zoraida) who gave us the scoop. We decided to stay downtown especially since we were planning on having drinks and checking out the music scene in the bars. We didn't want to…
