Felloship Friday: Living Lessons

Happy Friday my friends!! My blogging time has gotten shorter and shorter lately, girls out of school and summer activities are taking its toll on mommy here. But in the midst of it all I'm still trying to keep my priorities straight and even though my morning prayers are also getting shorter I came across this chapter this week and can't stop thinking about it. Every now and then a verse jumps out at me and makes so much sense...let me start by telling you I've always had a super hard time understanding and even having any desire whatsoever to read the Bible until about a year ago when I found the Living Bible Translation in which it's written with words of our time ( I mean seriously, even the Bible in portuguese is…

That being said social media addiction is a huge problem in today's society, not only amongst the blogger community but with teens and pretty much anyone who have access to a smart phone and internet have experienced some kind of agony when…

Soul Surfer

Hi guys, I hope you had a nice and relaxing Labor Day holiday! I worked on the holiday (it's ok, what can we do!!) but later in the afternoon when I got home we did what we typically do on Sunday evenings. We picked out a family movie and ate loads of popcorn all cuddled up on the couch!! Bella was the one who suggested this particular movie: Soul Surfer is about a Hawaiian surfer girl - Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm to a shark attack when she was 13 years-old and overcame her condition, upon seeing the devastation in Thailand caused by the 2004 tsunami, Bethany discovered a greater purpose: to make a difference in the lives of others. The movie was truly inspiring and I know we can all use inspiration…
