A TOAST TO WINE LOVERS AT INAUGURAL INDIANAPOLIS WINE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

Indianapolis Wine Festival Presented by City Securities and Faegre Baker Daniels Debuts at American Legion Mall

Experiencing fine wines doesn’t require a passport or even a trip to a local vineyard. The Indianapolis Wine Festival presented by City Securities and Faegre Baker Daniels arrives this Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 for wine experts and newcomers alike at American Legion Mall in downtown Indianapolis.

Guests will be able to sample from more than 175 wines brought in from across the country and globe, right in Indy’s backyard. Food options from eight Indianapolis favorites will also be available for purchase at the inaugural festival and musical acts include Sara Phillips, Wildheart Band and local favorites Kyxx.

Wines available for sample include Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, Joel Gott 815 Cabernet Sauvignon, Stag’s Leap Artemis, Clos Pegase Mitsuko’s Vineyard Merlot, Meiomi Chardonnay, Champion Champagne, Sanford Pinot Noir, Santa Carolina Sauvignon Blanc, St. James Winery Blueberry Wine, Four Bears Chardonnay, Sean Minor “Nicole Marie” Red Blend, Coppola Vendetta Cab/Malbec, Little Black Dress Moscato, Cosentino The Franc and La Crema Monterey Pinot Gris. “We are thrilled to be able to bring fine wines to the people of Indianapolis in a great, fun atmosphere,” said festival organizer Scott Janess, vice president at KemperLesnik. “Thanks to our partners in City Securities and Faegre Baker Daniels, we’re able to provide a truly one of a kind event for this area that we hope will eventually become an annual community tradition. We hope to cheers you all in person on August 26 and 27!”

At the festival, guests will also have the chance to learn more about Indiana’s growing wine culture, with tastings, sommelier-led seminars, and pairing tips from the region’s top wine experts.

There are two different ticket options still available for purchase:

  • The Adult Wine Tasting Ticket is $32 in advance and $40 at the gate. It includes 20 wine tastings, wine seminars, musical entertainment, the opportunity to purchase wine at a discount through Big Red Liquors and a souvenir wine glass upon departure.
  • The Designated Driver Ticket, presented by Tom Wood Luxury Group, is $15 and includes two non-alcoholic drinks, wine seminars, musical entertainment and a souvenir wine glass upon departure.
  • Under 21 admitted free when accompanied by paid adult.

 

Part of the proceeds from the event will go to Riley Children’s Foundation and Folds of Honor.
