NYFW – Day 2: Flat Iron District. Bollare Showroom. Reward Style Lounge. Front rows. Presentation.

Second day of NYFW was one of our busiest. We started the day shooting an outfit in the morning at the Flatiron District and guess who we saw there shooting too? Yes, my woman crush Becky, yet again!

For my morning appointments I chose this Calico Print Maxi Kimono – it’s $24 bucks too!

After a couple hours there we headed to our appointment at Bollare showroom. Let me explain how these showrooms work (I was thrilled!). You basically walk in and check in. They hand you a bag and give you an overall walk-through of the place. It looks like a boutique with racks of clothing from multiple brands (you can mainly find them at Nordstrom, ShopBop and Revolve). There are shelves with bags, sunglasses, fitness accessories, makeup, skincare and shoes. On a separate room there’s a makeup artist doing touch-ups and finally we can get cute little bottles of coca-cola (which I don’t drink but hey they are cute!) and ice cream cones you can order 🙂

Their powder room was the cutest I’ve ever seen!!! Couldn’t deprive myself from a selfie 😉

After that we went our separate ways. I went back to the hotel for a change of clothes and off to Reward Style Penthouse Escape at the Hotel on Rivington. I was a bit nervous going in without a friend but right there at the elevator I meet Sue, an ista friend!! We’ve been following each other for months and finally met. Cheers for meeting the faces we interact with so much!!!! And talking about meeting my insta friends in person I wanted to mention some names I was overjoyed to finally meet: Whitney, Desiree, Angelle, Dani, Etc…

Mixing hi & lo jewels here!! Earrings Miranda Frye and Necklaces and rings by Legend Amrapali.
Lots of champs, meets & greets, mingles and chats later I finally caught up with the my ladies and we went for a burger at Shake Shack. Insert happiest face ever!!
Back to the room for outfit #3, yeah I honestly think I went a bit overboard but hey we were in NY after all, and some of this stuff looks crazy if worn in Hoosier Land 🙂 so I let my inner CB come out to say hi!!

Kathleen had a front row seat at the Lu Yang show and I was her plus one (remember I told you about making sure you travel with your peeps from the industry!!). Off we went and enjoyed the show at a different location. I can’t remember how many ubers we took while there…it was a lot!!!

After the show we rushed to Michael Costello Presentation. I was excited for this one because I rooted for Michael when we was in Project Runway. To be honest I haven’t had time to watch the show in so long, I was happy he’s from the old school crowd 🙂 The presentation consisted of mainly beautiful crafted gowns against walls of flowers. Gorgeous flowers!
Saw these cuties again! Kelsey, Deb & Kristen
After walking through the rooms we decided we needed food!! Back to the hotel for my last change (jeans and a comfy shirt) we ended our night at a Sports bar close to our hotel in Tribecca. It was an intense day and I was happy to have gotten 2 meals in. Most days we did only dinner and protein bars/candy during the day to keep us moving. So yay for 2 stops for food!!
I hope you guys enjoyed my second day overview and that you’re excited for day 3 coming up soon 🙂
*Also I got a PR unboxing vid coming up, so cheers for over achievements this week!!
Beijos,
-K
