Triple Lipid Restorative Protocol Facial – SkinCeuticals

post featured image

I partnered with SkinCeuticals to review the Triple Lipid Restorative Facial. All comments and opinions are my own, as always!

Great skin starts with a great skincare regimen. That is definitely a must, however, regular facials are what really enhances your regimen. They clean the surface of the skin, prepping it to receive all the goodness and take it further and deeper down the pores. Last week as I was headed out to Dallas I wanted to look and feel my best, so what better time to have a facial done! I decided to try the Triple Lipid Restorative Protocol Facial at Ageless Aesthetics & Salt Lounge Spa in Indy.

At Ageless Aesthetics,  you have the option of doing a dermaplane before the facial and after Ashley (my lovely friend and aesthetician) analyzed my skin, she suggested we do one. Dermaplane is used to clear superfluous skin, layers and fine vellus hair to minimize post-peel shedding. It diminishes the appearance of fine lines and increases the absorption rate of peels, by basically shaving the hair and dead cells off the face. I’m so glad I had that done! If you didn’t catch my stories, make sure you take a look at what came out of my face (disclaimer: it’s not pretty!!!).

After Ashley cleared out my skin with the dermaplane we did a quick chemical peel. These are the same ones I’ve been doing for my melasma for months now, but a lot quicker and lighter. She left the peel on my face for about a minute and wiped it off. It’s ideal if you have an event you need to go to and you want to look glowy and gorgeous! No messing with skin peeling. The SkinCeuticals medical-grade peels contain acids such as lactic, glycolic, mandelic and salicylic, depending on the needs of the skin she will recommend the perfect one for you.

She applied a clay mask just on my T-zone to pull some of my blackheads and then we moved on to my latest addiction: SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF with Ferulic Acid. This is a powerful patented anti-oxidant that increases our environmental protection up to 8x in comparison to sunscreen alone! Hello hyperpigmented friends, I had to bring this one home with me!!

We topped that off with the star of the day, the Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 cream, which is essentially an anti-aging treatment cream that refills cellular lipids, and it’s filled with ceramides (remember what my dermatologist said about ceramides? She even prescribed me the SkinCeuticals Replenishing Cleanser that I still use!), natural cholesterol and fatty acids. The Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 is very nourishing and perfect for a skin on the drier side. My face was really thankful for it!!

The above products are what we used during my Triple Lipid Restorative Protocol Facial. Ashley recommended the following routine:

I took this picture exactly a week after my facial and it’s filtered with light and enhanced color. So far so awesome! I want to take the time and say thank you to Ashley and the Ageless Aesthetics Indy along with SkinCeuticals team for such a treat!

One last thing I believe is very important to mention. You guys know my journey with clean and safe beauty (and while I do use a couple of not recommended ingredients such as retinols and hydroquinone due to my melasma) I want to make sure I know everything else I put on my skin. That being said, I have loved SkinCeuticals products for a while now and am happy to include a few of these into my daily routine!

I did my homework and researched their ingredients which I’m also happy to say are pretty safe! I use the Skin Deep Website or app on my phone for a quick product scan. Most of these are not listed by name BUT you can search their ingredients. Now, don’t you worry because that’s my job and they’re all on the clear! Just in case you’re curious about what you have at home, you want your products to stay within the 1-3 range at the most when researching your goodies! That gives you the green light 🙂

I hope you guys enjoyed the post along with the Instagram Highlights (they’re so fun, totally recommend you watch them!)

Beijos,

-K
