Chunky Sweater Weather

This is not your typical sweater season, it’s more like the chunky froufrou sweater season! This year styles are so girly (right up my alley I must say!) full of pompons and pretty textures. I love the endless options!

When I saw this adorable sweater from Chicwish on a few of my blogger friends I got the giggles and knew I had to have it! Chicwish just takes the girly attitude to the next level! When the sweater arrived I don’t know why, but I instantly thought I had to get myself on a horse, and thanks to Jody and Jenny I was able to shoot with this gorgeous Arabian horse named Phazazz!

The idea here was to pull an equestrian inspired look but I’m already envisioning this baby with a pair of dark wash skinnies and a great OTK pair of boots! This sweater will be lovely during spring days too with a cute denim skirt and ankle booties…..my imagination just keeps rolling!

So I thought you’d like to hear about Phazazz a little bit. He’s attached to his owner Jenny so much is just plain sweet to watch him follow her around! He smells amazing and funny fact: he eats mints! Ha, I never knew horses like mints!!! Talk about a fresh breath!

Shall we move on to “pinkier” things?!

The Knit Your Love Cardi is another Chicwish sweater. I love the versatility of the chunky cardigan with a 3/4 sleeve. It  makes if perfect to be worn to work or school and feel cozy all day. It comes in ivory, pink and army green. I’ve worn with a long sleeve tee or a tank top for the warmer days. It’s a great year round little piece – of course I’m biased, I just can’t get enough!!! Did you notice the pompons are arranged in a ❤️ shape? Ugh can I just have them all?! I can just picture hubs face reading this….just kidding hunny buns!!!

I sure hope this post inspired you to get your groove on and enjoy the pompom game! The best way to dress it down is to wear them with denim. I went for a 90’s vibe with these vintage Levi’s 501’s in a skinny version! My wash is called Clear Minds but I love all the Post Modern Blues as well. Truly can’t get enough of this button up style along with the super flattering high waist! Hubs loves it too 🙂
