Saie Beauty Review (What to Buy and What to Skip)

post featured image

I recently tired a handful of products from Saie Beauty for the first time. I had heard a lot of good things about the brand, and know that it’s one of the most popular lines at Sephora. I also know that it’s considered a cleaner brand when compared to other options on the market. I am admittedly always on the hunt for better choice products, but honestly, they are hard to find without sacrificing quality (which is also very important to me.)

If you really dig into the ingredients used in “cleaner” products, many of them don’t actually fit the bill. However, I will say that I do appreciate that more and more brands are making the effort to at least eliminate or avoid some of the top offenders, like endocrine disruptors, fragrance, etc.

Overall, I was impressed with many of the finds I tried from Saie, but there were certainly others that I wouldn’t reorder. A lot of people love their products because they offer a dewy and glowy look, but I found some of them to be a bit *too* much for everyday wear.

Below, I’m sharing my full (and brutally honest) Saie beauty review, including the best Saie products. I hope this post helps you figure out what might work for your skin type!

Saie Glow Sculpt Review

To be totally transparent, I already have a couple tried-and-true blushes that I love (the Gucci Blush and Patrick Ta Blush.) For that reason, I didn’t have very high expectations for this one, mainly because I couldn’t imagine loving one more than those two.

However, I was totally blown away by this powder blush. You can use Glow Sculpt in combination with the Dew liquid blush if you want a moody and bright look, ideal for special events or a night out.

As far as the consistency and application of the Glow Sculpt goes, it’s important to know that this has a slight shimmer to it vs a matte finish. I didn’t find the shimmer to be overwhelming at all—it was subtle enough that you could get away with wearing it on a daily basis.

Other perks include: The color was really pigmented and I found the shade I tried to be really flattering (I wear “Mauveglow.” Plus, I have noticed that this is long-wearing, which is a must.

Saie Mascara Review

Similar to blush, I already have a hefty lineup of mascaras that I rotate through, but I’m pleased to say this one will certainly be added to the mix. If your goal is to have natural looking lashes that are longer and more pigmented, this is the mascara for you.

Just a couple of swipes offers enough color for daily wear. It’s fragrance and silicone free, and it’s made with shea butter which creates a smooth and silky application (no clumping here!)

Saie Slip Tint Review

You might be surprised by my recap on this product because it’s so universally loved. I had high hopes for this tinted moisturizer because I’m always on the hunt for lightweight and dewy makeup. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the Saie Slip Tint because it was just way too glowy for my liking. I also found it to be very sheer, meaning it didn’t provide much coverage at all.

If you don’t have any skin concerns, like melasma or dark spots, this might be worth a try. However, if you’re looking for a foundation replacement that will cover up imperfections, I wouldn’t recommend this.

Saie Glowy Super Gel Review

On the flip side, I did really like this Glowy Super Gel. You can use it as a prep before applying other makeup or as a spot highlighter/illuminator. I personally like to mix it with matte foundation or to use it on its own for little glow from within.

It’s not quite as strong as the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, but I still would reorder this for lighter coverage/lighter makeup days.

According to the instructions on the Sephora website, you can also apply this to your arms or legs for a little shimmer and dimension, which would be fun to try!

Saie Dew Blush Review

This liquid blush was another product that I genuinely liked. I got it in the shade “Cutie” (a warm dusty rose color) and found it to be a really nice consistency. It’s super buildable and is glowy in just the right way.

After wearing it all day, it stayed just as pigmented as it was when I first applied it. It also comes in a good range of color options and it felt hydrating yet weightless—two wins in my book.

Saie Slip Tint Concealer Review

Similar to the Slip Tint Tinted Moisturizer, I didn’t find this concealer to be that great. It was a bit too thin and sheer to provide the coverage I’m looking for. Again, if you have any dark spots, blemishes, or even dark circles, I just don’t think this concealer would make the cut.

I haven’t tried the other concealer that Saie makes, but my guess is that it would give you better coverage. It’s specifically formulated for use in the under-eye area to brighten your look. If I try it, I’ll be sure to report back!

Saie Glossybounce Lip Gloss Review

If you buy one product from Saie, this Glossybounce Lip Gloss should be it. It’s now one of my favorite lip formulas and reminds me of the Dibs lip gloss that was sadly discontinued.

I’m really picky when it comes to lip products because I never want to apply something that feels sticky. I also want something that not only provides nice color and shine, but that also hydrates and nourishes my skin at the same time. This gloss checked all of those boxes and will now be a regular in my makeup routine.

Oh, and I think the under $25 price point is super fair!

Saie the Big Brush Review

I’ve been using this brush to apply my foundation and blush and have really liked how it distributes both products onto my skin. It strikes the perfect balance between soft and sturdy so that you can build and blend makeup easily.

You could also use this to apply bronzer or any liquids or creams.
