I’m not quite sure where the month of November went and truly can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week (!) I know that this is a very busy season for all of us, and it’s only going to get more hectic as we inch closer to Christmas.
With all the craziness that this time of year brings, I’m really looking forward to slowing down and being present with my family during the holidays. Plus, I’m admittedly eager to pick out a cute outfit to wear for all of the upcoming, festive occasions.
I know that figuring out what to wear during the holidays can feel like a big task. It can also seem overly indulgent when you’re trying to stick to a budget. That’s why I love to choose pieces that are timeless, effortless, and can be worn throughout many seasons of the year.
Don’t get me wrong—I love a pair of metallic loafers and gold-embellished accessories—but I also appreciate looks that lean a bit more neutral.
If you’re on the hunt for some holiday outfit ideas that aren’t so time-bound, this post is filled with inspiration.
This outfit should be proof that suede trousers shouldn’t be passed up. They serve as a great focal point for any winter outfit and are so comfortable to wear throughout the day.
I styled mine with this classic white blouse and collared gray coat. The result is a feminine and polished look that can be reworn with ease.
I have been loving wide leg jeans lately—and they just so happen to look adorable with booties.
If you live somewhere that sees warmer weather throughout the winter season, this outfit would be a good go-to. The knit top looks on-theme while maintaining a neutral vibe. Just throw on a cream colored bomber jacket (this one is under $40!) and a matching belt to take things up a notch.
A leather jacket is a winter staple regardless of your social plans. This one happens to be under $60 and has such cute puffer detailing.
If you’re heading to a holiday dinner or are meeting friends to look at Christmas lights, this look will add the right amount of festivity without going overboard.
Just pair the leather jacket with a striped turtleneck, your favorite pair of jeans, and some pointed booties. If you need to bundle up more, this outfit would look so cute with a scarf and beanie.
If you ask me, this is the ideal Thanksgiving uniform, but it would transition seamlessly to a variety of winter occasions. The bomber jacket will keep you warm and cozy throughout the season, and all the other pieces are wardrobe staples that will serve you well from year to year.
Nothing says holiday-ready like a touch of sequin, and this sparkly skirt offers the perfect balance between eye-catching and neutral. It’s also surprisingly affordable for being such a unique piece.
One major benefit to this specific look is that you could wear it for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve since it’s so simple and elegant. Just add your go-to sweater on top and a pair of heels and you’ll be set for a festive evening.
If comfort is a priority for you during the holidays, this is a great look to have up your sleeve. There’s really nothing cozier than a sweater or button-down dress, and it just so happens to look quite dressy if you style it right.
For this look, I paired a simple brown dress with champagne colored heels (which would also be perfect to wear during any New Year festivities!) Throw on an oversized cardigan if the temperatures are cool, and jazz things up even more with gold accessories.
You could also go with a green dress or classic black if the brown isn’t your thing.
