I wanted to put together a handful of shopping guides to help you navigate the highly coveted Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m hoping that these posts will pare down your browsing and empower you to make clever choices as you sort through all the offers.
While there are certainly more than enough picks worth swooning over, I thought I’d share my top choices that will be specifically handy come fall. I know, I know—we’re still in the thick of the summer—but most of these deals won’t be available again until after the winter season comes to a close.
As always, I recommend using the sale as an opportunity to get higher end, timeless staples that don’t typically go on sale. Think designer brands, classic pieces, and neutrals that you can reach for time and time again.
Below, find all the sale tiers and shopping dates, as well as my top fall wardrobe picks. Happy shopping!

Shopping tip: I have a “Nordstrom Sale” collection in my LTK shop where you can “favorite” items that you plan to shop (just click on the heart icon).
Reg. $398, Sale price: $265.99
I’m pretty sure this cardigan will be a popular pick amongst all shoppers. The tweed-inspired print, gold button detailing, and ribbed cuffs give it so much personality. I’d wear this with a basic pair of jeans, a white tee (like shown) and some loafers.
Reg. $155, Sale price: $99.99
Before you convince yourself that you don’t need another scarf, consider the quality of those you currently have. This one (which is made by Nordstrom) is cashmere, so it’s bound to last.
p.s. I always think it’s wise to pack one of these in your carry-on bag when you’re traveling.
Reg. $278, Sale price: $185.99
I normally don’t suggest choosing trendier picks during the sale (only because classic pieces will get more use), but it’s clear to me that barrel jeans are here to stay. This pair is just the right price point with the discount applied.
Reg. $100, Sale price: $79.99
These sneakers are hard to find in stock, let alone on sale. I love that these are a unique color way (which happen to be perfect for the fall) and appreciate that they’d go with everything.
Reg. $895, Sale price: $539.99
Talk about a steal! This wool coat is really all you need when it comes to a trusted fall and winter layer. It would go with everything and would be easy to dress up or down.
Reg. $158, Sale price: $99.99
Fall style traditionally consists of chunky sweaters, leather boots, and oversized coats, but if you want to go outside the box, consider this pretty maxi dress. The color adds a subtle nod to the season and the silhouette is super flattering—not to mention, it has pockets!
Reg. $169, Sale price: $115.99
Whether you’re staying local in the fall or you’re traveling abroad, a rain jacket is always good to have on hand. This one has a timeless look that will complement a variety of outfits.
Reg. $148, Sale price: $99.99
Sure, Free People often has sales, but not typically on neutral items like this pullover sweater. You’re sure to get a lot of wear out of this piece, from late summer to late spring.
Reg. $239, Sale price: $149.99
Knee high boots can add a feminine and flirty feel to your looks and I’m totally swooning over the dark caramel leather on this pair.
Reg. $370, Sale price: $229.99
This is another brand that I don’t often see on sale, and if you’re trying to land on one coat, this would be a top contender in my opinion. It goes with everything, it’s under $250, and it’s just the right length to wear with booties, over-the-knee boots, heels, or sneakers.
– You honestly can’t go wrong with any Rag & Bone jeans, but these are known for their lightweight and ultra-comfy material.
– This printed scarf strikes the perfect balance between neutral and more unique. Tie it around your neck or accessorize a purse with it.
– The sandy color of this knit sweater won me over but I also like that the fabric is thick enough to actually keep you warm (thinking ahead to fall and winter over here!)
– If you your fall shoe look to entail more than just boots and sneakers, these pointed ballet flats offer up a great alternative.
– Paige jeans are a tried-and-true fave and I love the slightly distressed look on this black pair.
– Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the Anniversary Sale is the ideal time to splurge on designer picks. This insulated jacket is the prettiest color and would make for a classic wardrobe staple you’ll wear year after year.
– I fully intend on adding this button-up jacket to my cart. It has such a classic shape and look that will remain timeless. Bonus: It’s over $100 right now!
– There’s no denying that Honeydew Intimates makes some of the coziest pajamas. This set is so playful and feels so perfect to wear from the summer to fall.
– This denim dress is another piece that would be so cute to wear from the warm weather season into the fall. Pair it with heels, sneakers, or over-the-knee boots.
– If you’ve been wanting to add an Isabel Marant graphic sweatshirt to your closet, the sale is the time to do it. I love wearing these while traveling, lounging at home, or running errands.
