We finally made it to the much anticipated New York Fashion Week! This time around guys I must say I feel so much savvier which you’d think I’d be more prepared…no, not the case. I was picking outfits yesterday literally hours before boarding the plane. Oh well, that’s something to conquer next year perhaps! So here we go:
Traveling in style yet in the comfiest way. We flew in with Southwest (newbie here) via Newark. When booking a NYC flight try to see where in town you’re staying at and what airport makes more sense to you. If Manhattan is the final destination you should be good with any of them really 🙂
leggings — cotton/silk blouse — booties — jacket — handbag
1st stop: the apartment. Quite a nice place in Midtown thanks to Ashley’s friend Lindsay, which btw is an amazing host…and is saving us a ton of $$$
Off we went to our first meeting at Warby Parker HeadQuarters in Soho. We visited the company and where the staff works and headed to their store to pick out a couple of frames!! I’m loving these guys so much, have sported my sunnies all day today!!
Warby Parker Astrid cat eye sunglasses
tee — sneakers — sunnies — bag (similar) — belt — jewelry
Next, we had an amazing lunch at Rosie’s with all the chips, guac and tacos + margs to recharge us for the next part of the afternoon. PS: we tried taking a LYFT (not a good experience, at least not in the city. Stick to UBER for better more reliable drivers)
After Mexican we did a little shopping at 5th Avenue…and what a nice stroll!
Got back to our place to rest and change for the Alber Elbaz x LeSportsac NYFW Launch Party back at Soho at the Spring Studios.
Albert Elbaz (yes the former Lavin creative director himself!) did a collaboration with Le Sports Sac and the party was literally a Candy Land on earth!
I wore this gorgeous Vici Dolls dress for the party. After all when in NYFW I always say “go big or go home!” Hehehe
Here are a few options since this dress is sadly sold out:
Will update you girls with more pics of the dress later on today!!
Beijos,
-K
