You know I’m SO EXCITED to put together this post because I love me the neutrals and I cannot lie! Here, I wanted to show you that monochromatic outfits are but a mix of shades of the same color in one outfit BUT you can also incorporate a pop of color without loosing that “neutral mono” vibe!
For this outfit, I picked a pair of lightweight cream pants, a warm shade of ivory sweater with sheer sleeves and an off-white beanie. You can go with the same shade for accessories but o this I decided on my new Polene Paris addition. The Numero Sept mini.
The trick is not to get caught up on matching the exact shades of your pieces. Mixing them adds more depth and interest. Also, play with textures like the linen pant with a sheer sleeve sweater.
Lots of textures on this outfit as well. Tulle skirt and a texturized knit with a pompom beanie and leather boots. These shades are pretty different from one another yet the monochromatic vibe is still strong.
I know you’re probably thinking: nobody needs help styling an all-black outfit! And you’re probably right!! All-black is a classic and we all have worn this combination at least once in their lifetime. No tricks here, just wear what you love and chances are they’ll look good together! I also love THIS all-black look!
The next outfit just happened to match almost exactly and I love it! It’s not a requirement but when it does happen it’s so good. All pieces are a bit oversized but work together in harmony.
This is one of those that are in the same color family yet don’t match at all. When I wear something like this I like to play the accessories off as well, sometimes if the shades are too close and don’t match it looks like we’re trying too hard, you know what I mean? Here, I’m wearing the same paper bag waist pant as above and the same sweater in a different shade!
Now for my fave: all-white looks. I like to wear them alone or incorporate pops of color into the outfit. In this case I went for a burgundy fur coat, bag and sneaks. The belt is mauve but they all coordinate since they’re in the same color family ๐ – at least that’s what I tell myself!
Another combo is white and camel (a personal favorite!). For the next outfit, I went pretty casual with white joggers and a sweater topped off with an oversized camel coat.
I hope this post was helpful and you’ve learned something new!!
Beijos,
