Ladies, by now we are more than ready for the warm weather so hopefully, this Lulus dresses post will inspire you to get some spring shopping done and pray pray pray for the sun to shine again here in the midwest!!! I’ve been experimenting with Lulus lately and have to say I’m impressed with their merchandise, price point, and customer service. So I’m doing a round up of my Lulus dresses and other spring essentials and hope you’ll join me and enjoy a look at my day wearing Lulus!!
Lounging is one of my favorite things to, sadly I don’t get to do much of it nowadays. But that doesn’t prevent me from dreaming of those days. I used to love flipping the pages of a fashion magazine while I sipped my coffee and relaxed on the couch or at the kitchen table. And to be honest I didn’t think much of it then, but now I reminisce and look forward to days I can do just that again.
When at home, I usually wear a comfy pair denim shorts (love these Levi’s 501’s super comfy high waist ) and a soft tee. The shorts are long and can be unrolled and go for a more boyfriend-ish look. Or leave it rolled up and go for a more girly look. What I love most about the 501 cut is that it hugs our curves, it shapes the woman body in all of the right places. I paired this pair up with a linen button up cropped top. This top is wide and has buttons on the front and cute mid-arm sleeves.
This look can be dressed up with a turban headband, a cute pair of block heels and some boho jewelry. I would wear it with a pair of flats or tennis shoes to a concert or a picnic. Run errands, go grocery shopping, etc. It’s such an easy look.
A spring Sunday brunch calls for a floral dress. I have a soft spot for maxi floral dresses and this one just won my heart. It’s so flowy and I feel like Pretty Woman walking down the street, that Pretty Woman that’s kinda hard to meet 🙂
The Bloom on ivory floral print maxi dress has a front slit that makes it not only super easy to walk (even though it’s a maxi length) but it also gives the impression of longer legs too! All of its details are very feminine and sexy but in a very subtle way, i.e. the ruffled neckline and princess seamed bodice! I love the movement given by the lightweight fabric when I walk. This is also the perfect transitioning look from day to evening without changing anything. I would put on a red lipstick for a spring dinner out or keep it neutral for the day but that’s about it! I’ve been pairing these red suede Taylor heels with literally everything! These are $31 and come in 12 colors. (I already have 3 others in my shopping cart….3 shoes under $100, pretty darn good!)
A stop at the farmer’s market calls for a breathable linen dress, I took a chic twist and added a silk neck scarf. This basket bag is perfect to put in my produce ( I got this one in Cabo a few years back and still love it!). This strapless midi style belted can definitely be worn in the evening too and totally easy to dress it up. Think layers of necklaces and heels. Or even flats and a straw hat for lunch with friends. I love the elastic top ( it doesn’t keep falling), the pockets…I mean who doesn’t LOVE pockets?! Haha we’re so easy to please, wouldn’t you agree with me, ladies??! The belt makes us all look slimmer and taller. The ivory color is very Mediterranean and “raw” if you know what I mean. Very easy to accessorize it. The button up front is great but the dress zips up on the side!
I love to look at recipe books, even though I’m definitely not a recipe follower. Anyone like me? I just like to pull ideas from them especially on the nights that I seem to have a “cook block” hahaha. We typically eat a lot of the same stuff at home but every now and then I like to make something new. I wore this cute girly wrap dress to the market and endlessly browsed their books for ideas on what to cook. The Rollas Dancer Coral Red Floral Print Wrap Dress has a deep cut and it’s short so I went with very boyish accessories to balance the seductive feel! I love that you can tie it to your liking and it also gives lots of movement. And the petal sleeves add more of that doll feel 🙂
I can see myself wearing this baby lots during summer.
Finally, I’m always in search of a good jumpsuit, preferably one that doesn’t look like you’re trying too hard. I went head over heels for this gorgeous white backless jumpsuit. The fabric is stretchy and easy to move around making it the perfect host outfit. It has a fitted waist with wide-leg pant. The ruffle detail on the back adds a cute little frill but what I love most is the v-shape open back. Such a pretty way to show off a long necklace backward!
This Enamored White Backless Jumpsuit is a Lulus exclusive and $61. Great style on a budget!
