There are few things that I love more than fashion, regardless of the season or the occasion I’m dressing for. Classic denim, cozy cardigans, comfortable pumps, and crisp white button-ups are a few wardrobe staples I think every gal should have — and I have sourced many of these from Sezane, one of my all time favorite shops.
Sezane is known for their high-quality, timeless pieces that pair seamlessly with a variety of closet essentials. I’ve always adored the brand because I know that investing in their styles will serve me and my wardrobe for years to come (a win-win).
Whether you’ve never shopped the brand and you’re curious to know if it’s worth the hype (spoiler alert: it is) or you’re simply in search of some new clothing, you’re in the right place.
Here, I’m walking you through my official Sezane review, including a list of year-round staples from the brand that I think are worth adding to your wardrobe. Most of these finds are neutral, making them easy to mix and match to create a variety of looks. Happy shopping!
I took some photos of my go-to outfits from Sezane to give you some inspo on how you can style these pieces. Whether you’re vacationing, meeting friends for coffee, or heading on a date night these looks will make you feel polished and put together.
Offering the ultimate fall look, this matching vest and trouser set is everything I look for in an outfit: comfortable, sophisticated, and easy to style. The light yet rich tan color makes it fool-proof to pair with several accessories and layers. Plus, both pieces can be worn separately if you want to change things up.
I styled the duo here with a brown leather jacket (again, for the fall vibes) and this sleek pair of knee high boots. You could also wear this with a pair of chunky loafers or ballet flats — and a trench coat would make another cute layer option!
Another uber simple yet chic fall look? A pair of trousers with a white button-down shirt. This one has the perfect silhouette, and while it offers a someone structured shape, the fabric still has the give and soft feel that I always look for in wardrobe staples.
I love how unique these coffee colored trousers are, and I’m a big fan of their slight knit feel as opposed to traditional crepe varieties. They have a high-waisted fit that holds you in without being overly tight or restrictive and the pleated detailing makes them look elevated enough to take you from your morning errands to work meetings.
The brown loafers I’m wearing are unfortunately sold out (for good reason!) but there are still some sizes left in the black color way. Couldn’t recommend them enough for day to night wear.
Oh, and while I’m not carrying it in the photo above, this suede tote bag has become my new favorite for both work and play. It’s structured in all the right places and is roomy without being too big to lug around. It comes in several colors — including leather options!
If there’s one piece that every gal needs in her closet, I’d argue that aside from a white button-down shirt, it would be a trench coat. This timeless layer is highly versatile and can be worn throughout fall, winter, and spring. This specific trench fits oversized, so be sure to size down if you want a more streamlined fit. I will say that having the extra room is a perk when it comes to wearing chunky sweaters underneath.
I styled it here with another pair of trousers (are you sensing a pant trend for the fall?!) These have such a polished and sophisticated look, and I adore the off-white color they come in. The jumper I have on isn’t available before, but Sezane does have tons of cute knits that would work with this outfit.
I recently went on a trip to the South of France, and I feel like this swimsuit was made for that exact occasion. Even if you’re not jetting off, this one-piece is so chic and timeless—and it’s ideal for wearing to the pool or beach.
The thicker fabric is so flattering and the material is buttery soft. I love how this suit looks with linen pants or white denim shorts. Just add sandals and a cute tote bag and you’ll be set for a day in the sun!
This is the ultimate summer uniform in my book. A quality bikini, breezy shorts, and a lightweight top (that goes with everything)—say no more. I’m loving the pops of blue right now and think they look so classic when styled with white touches.
However, the real star of this outfit is the raffia bucket bag. It’s such a great staple for the warm weather season and I adore the shape and size so much.
Love denim shorts but wish they had a more “grown up” feel? These cuties are the answer. I appreciate that the length isn’t too short and love the detailing the belt provides. I tucked this collared shirt into the bottoms for an easy yet stylish outfit.
As soon as I saw this dress, I knew I had to have it. The strapless design, bright color, fun, floral print—everything about it feels special and so chic! I’m planning on wearing this throughout the spring and summer (it would be the perfect wedding guest dress.)
I love that it has a small slit in the back as well as smocked detailing. It’s also such a great length to wear for a variety of occasions! Pair it with tan heels or neutral sandals and accessorize with some dainty gold jewelry.
In search of a polished everyday look? This is a great option. While I love a classic white button-down, this pink version offers a more preppy and feminine vibe. I paired it with light wash denim (this pair is so comfortable) so the top stayed as the star of the show.
I also love accessorizing my outfits with something bright and unexpected, like this blue bag. It’s so chic and could be worn with a lot of different looks—can be used as a crossbody bag or worn on one shoulder!
Need to dress up but craving something cozy? Throw on a knit cardigan and a pair of trousers and you’ll be set. Classic pumps offer the finishing touch.
I’ve been wearing this rosy beige cardigan on repeat and cannot recommend it enough. Not only is it incredibly soft but it’s a fool-proof staple to have in your back pocket…Not sure what to wear? Slip into this cardigan. Feeling uninspired but need to look put together? Reach for this cardigan. It’s so nice to have on hand and I guarantee you’ll get lots of wear from it. It scores bonus points from me for holding up so well after being washed.
As far as the pants go, these trousers provide a look similar to wide leg jeans but I find them far more comfortable. They also give off a higher-end feel, which is ideal when you’re dressing for a nice dinner or event.
The slouchy look of this rib knit cardigan makes it the perfect layering piece because you can easily wear a blouse underneath. It takes the look up a notch and provides a bit of extra warmth. Also, I’m loving this pastel green color right now — it feels appropriate for all seasons, whether you’re dressing for the fall or spring.
I paired the sweater with this beige wool skirt for a feminine yet casual look. You could style this outfit with pretty much any type of shoe—boots, sneakers, flats, or heels would all look cute, depending on the occasion.
The skirt isn’t available in this exact color anymore, but I’m linking another option below (and this one is also similar!)
Sezane is obviously a great place to source dressier items, but it’s also a go-to spot for cozy and casual picks. Because I frequently travel, wearing the same pair of leggings and oversized hoodie gets old. I like to feel more put together and ready for the day while maintaining comfort, and that’s where these pieces come in.
These leggings don’t need much of an explanation (you can tell they’re ultra-comfy just by looking at them.) I will say that I love the ivory color since it’s more unique than traditional black leggings.
For my top, I went with this cotton sweater. I’m a big fan of all the button detailing and think the puff sleeve design gives it such a fresh feel. I also wore this long-sleeved parka, which is lightweight and ideal for transitional weather. If you need a quality jacket to add to your wardrobe, I’d suggest giving this one a try—I like that it can fold small so it’s easy to pack!
A midi skirt is a staple in my wardrobe throughout the year, but I love the way one looks with a simple sweater and boots. This particular skirt has a straight line fit, a chic front slit, and it’s made with wool to keep you warm and toasty. If you want a more lightweight option, this one is made with linen.
Style the skirt with an off-white sweater (I also love this one and this one) and tall, tan boots for an understated yet beautiful look that can take you from day to night.
Last but certainly not least, who doesn’t love a good leather pants outfit? In my opinion, leather pants offer the perfect opportunity to switch up your regular denim look. They’re surprisingly comfortable and have a way of instantly elevating any outfit.
For this look, I paired black leather pants with this gorgeous (and wildly soft) jacquard knit jacket. If you’re trying to decide on one piece to buy from Sezane, this jacket should be it. It’s cozy and has the prettiest shape to it. Plus, I love the front pockets.
Need a quick list of some Sezane staples? These would all make such great closet essentials to incorporate throughout the year. The neutral hues make them appropriate to wear with many different pieces, giving them longevity and versatility. Also, you truly can’t beat the quality!
