Holiday travel is about to hit in full swing. From vacations to family visits, or even just a quick weekend getaway, the travel time this Christmas season is upon us. I don’t know about you guys but I feel like traveling during the holidays can be so stressful so I try to do everything to prevent that feeling.

One of my favorite parts about traveling is styling my airport outfits (sounds silly, I know) but I love to be comfortable and chic while flying. Making sweatpants look elevated has become my new favorite trend and finding a look that is easy to throw on helps alleviate any pre-flight stress.

When it comes to travel, comfort is key — but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. Enter Varley, the brand with high quality and functional athleisure that effortlessly levels up your airport look. Whether you’re heading on a long-haul flight, a roadtrip, or on a city escape, these winter travel outfits will provide you with the perfect blend of comfort, style, and practicality.

Winter Travel Outfits

Oversized Coat and a Matching Set

This outfit is perfect for the gal who loves a monochromatic look. One of my travel outfit hacks is to always dress in layers, you never know if the plane will be hot or cold, and when traveling to different climates it’s so easy to add the jacket or remove it if necessary depending on location. I also think layering outfits has been so trendy, even a cute halter tank underneath this zip up could add the perfect touch to complete the layering look.

Gray has been so popular this season too, everyone is wearing it and layering with it and I love how it pairs so well with my new favorite shoes. These New Balances I have been wearing constantly, even my son Antonio got a pair to match with me. Perfect for the long walks across the airports!

Not only does Varley have the cutest elevated clothing pieces, but amazing bags- especially for travel! How perfect is the color and size of this weekender styled bag? Perfect for carry on or just a weekend away!

Sherpa Coat and a Leggings Set

When it comes to travelwear, keeping things simple and opting for neutral base layers will help you mix and match multiple pieces with ease, especially during the winter months of coat season. You all know I am a sucker for neutrals and warm tones, and I love this perfect chocolate colored set. Not only does it look comfy, but it can get so much use out of it, especially if you’re wanting to work out during your travels.

Varley continues to surprise me with every new package I get from them, but this jacket, is at the top of the list for favorites. It is such high quality and the perfect color. Since I love neutrals, this jacket will pair with most of my closet, and will keep me bundled up during the cold months of the Midwest.

Paired this look with the cutest color of Adidas Sambas, a matching sherpa hat from Varley, and a perfect salmon colored Dagne Dover carryon. All of these pieces make for the most perfect neutral travel outfit that still says “chic.”

Patterns and Pullovers

This outfit is begging to be taken to the mountains. To me it screams a western cabin weekend in the mountains. The colors are perfect, the pattern is unique, and the textures are all so cozy. And who said you can’t match your socks to your sweater? I mean, come on ladies, isn’t that perfect?

Varley does a lot of things right, but one of the main is always how they do sherpa. On their site you can find sherpa pants, tops, hats, gloves, and even handbags. This little tote is the cutest addition to elevate this cozy outfit even more. Paired this with the cutest Adidas again, the neutral tones are everything and I already cannot wait to travel in this look come winter.

Neutral with a Touch of Green

A neutral outfit from Varley is the perfect blend of comfort and understated style, ideal for both hanging out in the airport lounges and racing to meet your gate. Paring it with the comfiest puffer in a neutral tone for warmth without bulk, and complete the outfit with a pop of army green. I thought adding some color in a very monochromatic look would be perfect, especially when you have a matching Dagne Dover carryon. This chic combination is so versatile for travel and perfect for the holidays.

The accessories in this outfit might be my favorite. Varley makes the best quality hats, and this beanie is adorable. Perfect for your winter travels- and goes so cute with this sherpa belt bag. Being hands free in the airport is always ideal and this bag does it in such a chic way.

My Personal Favorite

This Varley travel look might just be my favorite one of them all. Everything is neutral, but still so chic. The cable knit on the pullover makes this look even more elevated, and I know the quality is going to be superior. A detailed sock with a cute sneaker over some leggings has always been a favorite trend of mine, and what better way to wear it then prepping for some holiday travels.

Girls, this coat is amazing. It is the perfect amount of puffy and thick, while still being trendy and cute. This color is also the color of the season and I have been loving adding it to different looks- and how perfect to travel with it when you can wear it with even more looks on your trip!
