Adding a good pair of trousers to your capsule wardrobe is a must this season, which should be no hard task considering there are so many good options available right now. Settling on how to style trousers, however, can be a challenge because there are so many chic ways to do so.
I’ve complied a few different ways to style trousers that I’m loving right now. There’s so much versatility with them – you can create so many looks with just one staple pair. From dressing them up for a professional work event to dressing them down for a quick coffee run, I guarantee you’ll be reaching for these pants over and over this season.

Who said white can’t be worn after Labor Day? That’s certainly not a rule I follow. Give me all the creams, whites, and beiges and I’ll wear them throughout the fall season. The combo creates such a luxurious look, especially when paired with a statement bag that adds a little pop of color.
If you’re looking for affordable trousers but still want the stealth wealth look, these high-waisted wide leg pants would be a perfect addition to your fall wardrobe.
There’s nothing better than investing in a classic white top that you’ll wear too many times to count. This ME+EM crew neck vest is one that can be paired with just about anything in your closet.
A good leather belt can really elevate any outfit but I especially love this ivory and gold one paired with an all white look.
Trousers can really be worn with any type of shoe, but I’m loving these leather slingback pumps to elevate this specific look.
Who doesn’t love a good chunky sweater? This oversized cardigan would pair perfectly with the cream trousers. Plus, it’s such a classic piece for the fall.
Of course, I couldn’t leave out a good pair of glasses. These curved frame sunglasses add that little extra touch to really tie the whole look together.
Last, but certainly not least, is this bright red patent leather bag. Adding a pop of color is just what this look needs and this bag is the perfect size to tote around your essentials.
The mix of rich, warm colors paired with classic staples and a few trendy pieces makes this the perfect way to style trousers for the fall.
If I had to settle on one pair of trousers for the fall, these would be it. These tailored black wide-leg trousers are so flattering and can be styled with just about anything.

Trousers don’t have to always be dressed up. I’m loving this (mostly navy) laid-back, sporty vibe for more casual days: think a coffee date with the girls on a crisp Sunday morning or checking out your local bar down the street.
If you’re in the market for the perfect pair of navy trousers, look no further. These tailored ponte palazzo pants are effortlessly stylish and have an elastic waistband for all day comfort.
This combo of leather and wool is such a fun twist on this old-school classic bomber jacket. I’m loving this styled with the navy trousers to make this more of a laid-back look.
I love a good t-shirt that is still simple enough to be worn with anything. This rib jersey graphic tee is a step up from your basic white tee.
This belt bag seems to be named very appropriately, considering you can literally take it anywhere and everywhere. I love this in navy, especially paired with this look for a sportier feel.
If you haven’t noticed yet, I love adding in sunglasses to complete a look. These cat-eye sunnies look much more expensive than they really are.
This Loewe Esencia fragrance has notes of pepper berries, basil, and tarragon and comes in this stunning green bottle. It’ll keep you smelling amazing while giving your look a total fall feel.
These navy Samba sneakers create such a sporty-chic look with the trousers, but if you’re looking to dress this outfit up a little bit, I also love them styled with the ivory slingback pumps I mentioned earlier in the post.
To tie this navy look together, add a hat, like this classic yet trendy NY baseball cap.
