How to Wear Culottes, Gauchos, Palazzo Pants

They might look funny hanging there but the culottes are those types of garments that only come to life when they’re being worn. Preferably when you walk down the street. They flow like a loose skirt but you never have to worry about them showing too much 🙂 These guys are chic and stylish and yes there’s a few things to keep in mind when putting them together in an outfit but for most part I’d say keep things simple.

The tall gals can wear flats, the shorties like myself might need the extra help from heels or else we’ll look chopped. The flowy top can be done if your heels are high and the cullotes are more tailored although I’d say go basic friend. Think a cotton tee or tank top. The culottes are the statement piece in the look so let them shine by keeping everything else muted.

These shoes are BCBG and sold out but a basic black sandal will look amazing as well! This is a similar one I really like.

Next up is a layered look with a white pair of culottes. These are super bulky so I went with another simple thin cotton long sleeve tee and a flowy trench coat.
