Miami Series: South Pointe Park

Next in line for our Miami visit is South Pointe Park, a place right across Fisher Island (a very exclusive private island with condos). After a day in SB we headed there to eat the famous cobb salad and have some wine, what happened however was that we weren’t expecting it to be happy hour on a Friday night…the place was crowded!! The good part though is that it was crowded with beautiful people so we got ourselves a corner table, had dinner and our wine and people watched for a couple hours!

Laughs, good wine and good food…better than this only if we got a table outside, overlooking the water with that Mediterranean vibe!

Travel Tip: Try to stop by the area at lunch time, it’s a beautiful view with a low key vibe aka hipster hang out! But if you are trying to meet people you might want to go for a happy hour! We were coming from the beach so totally underdressed…Lunch at the bar (outside) has cheaper options and a nicer view! Tip #2

is for the cat ladies! Hahaha this is funny but here goes the story: we were walking towards the end of the pier to check out the sunset after dinner and all of the sudden I heard a meow, when I searched for where it was coming from this sand path with dozens of stray cats!!! OMG Cat Lady paradise!!!! I stayed there and couldn’t help myself but pet those little cuties – sooo friendly and in need of a little love! Maria and Desi continued to the end and I decided to wait there with my new furry friends….might have missed the sunset but hey it was for a good reason!

People ride bikes there and bring their families, it’s a great place to hang out regardless of going to eat or simply walk around!
