Warm Weather Work Outfits for Spring and Summer

One of my most requested looks year round seem to always be workwear outfits. Whether you work in a large corporate office, or just want to be presentable for your colleagues (even if it is just via a Zoom call while you work from home) — a styled workwear outfit is something I love putting together, especially in the summertime. Outfits seem to always be a little but more fun when the sun is out!

Retailers have evolved in the workwear department over the last few years, making outfits a lot less cut and dry, and a little more unique and chic. Work outfits have remained elevated while also featuring timeless pieces that you can invest in and wear for multiple occasions (not just work.) You could transition any of these to become your book club, date night, or girls night out looks with just a few simple switches — but never doubt that you will look professional and chic while at the office!

Whatever your career situation or work routine might be, these outfit ideas resemble a sought after and poised look. They’re classy, comfy, and every bit adorable — there’s nothing more that you could want when putting together a look for the office.

Warm Weather Work Outfits

Classic Office Workwear

This neutral look (with hints of color, of course) is perfect for transitional weather. Working in layers is my key to comfortability since I can easily shed a layer or add one if the office is a bit chilly.

A unique blouse and trouser combo is a go-to in the workwear space, but I elevated this look with a belt, jewelry, a cardigan, and hints of olive in the shoes and handbag. These little touches bring it all together for a more summery look.

The high waisted fit on these pants sit perfectly with the slightly shorter length of the top. It gives the belt a chance to pop out if you want to tuck the blouse in, or let it out and get peeks of it through movement! These pants are perfect to style with a million other things in your closet, especially if you’re looking for something that would also work for a date night outfit.

I added hints of olive, navy, and mixed metals to this look to make it more of a fun office outfit, rather than something someone could predict. The heels are an obvious choice, but the color won’t be! Making outfits a little more fun with color and accessories has been something I have really been leaning into this year.

Spring Workwear

The color of this dress is what initially drew me to it, but the fit is even better! It’s the perfect combo of classy and unique! The length is appropriate, and the buttons add the cutest detailing.

If any of you get the office chills like me, I always work in layers. This grey sweater is great for throwing over your shoulders — it adds an elevated look to the dress while also being there for more practical needs.

Ballet flats keep this outfit comfortable and transitional to that after-work life too, whether that looks like grabbing groceries or heading to a kids’ sporting event.

Meetings Workwear

I always seem to be grabbing and styling layers when thinking of work attire. I always think it’s better to have an extra layer in case you need it! This jacket is lightweight enough for the spring and summer yet it’s perfect for styling with year-round looks.

These linen pants make this outfit feel light and airy while still maintaining an upscale look. The matching colors on the handbag and jacket make for an amazing sandwich moment to complement the otherwise monochromatic look.

Incorporating gold jewelry to play off of the detailing on the jacket and bag is how I would tie this look together. Oh, and everyone needs a classic pair of aviators for the summer time — this black pair matches the base of this outfit while the lens shade offers some personality.

Creative Field Workwear

A classic denim and loafer look is my idea of the perfect casual workwear outfit. The accessories tie it all together, but the loafers give an edge of professionalism in contrast with the casual feel of the denim.

Navy and caramel shades highlight each other so well, which is exactly why I paired these pieces together. The simplicity of the white tank top is perfectly complemented by the texture of the tweed jacket. These colors are perfect for the spring and the changing weather. Plus, adding a belt and some silver accessories can help break things up and result in a more “styled” feel.

Casual Friday Workwear

A little casual outfit can lift anyone’s spirits when heading into the office for the day. This one is fun and is certainly perfect for the summertime. I’m obsessed with the puff sleeve silhouette and striped pattern on this look — the combo adds a lot of personality (as opposed to a plain top.)

Pairing these pieces with a playful belt and an open-toe shoe (casual Friday’s of course) make it an easy outfit to transition into a happy hour after your shift! Plus, the fit of this pair of denim is every bit comfortable while still being flattering.
