A Mix of Ski Layers, Après Looks, and Everyday Outfits
Chamonix has a way of setting the tone for everything, from the pace of the day to what you end up wearing.
Between ski mornings, slow afternoons in town, and dinners that stretch a little longer than expected, getting dressed becomes part of the experience. The key for me was finding pieces that felt warm, functional, and still put together.
I kept coming back to the same idea while packing for this trip, layers that work, pieces that mix easily, and outfits that feel just as good off the slopes as they do on them.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what I wore, so I’m sharing everything here, from ski outfits to après looks and a few of my favorite everyday combinations from the trip.
Ski days in Chamonix are less about overcomplicating things and more about getting the layers right.
I leaned into a combination that I knew would work, a white down ski jacket paired with high waisted ski pants, finished with a few accessories that made the outfit feel a little more personal. My Chloe mask sunglasses and a soft pom pom wool beanie ended up being on repeat.
Underneath, it was all about warm, reliable layers. The kind that keep you comfortable throughout the day without feeling bulky or restrictive.
These were the outfits I reached for whether we were heading out for a few runs or just walking through town and taking in the views. Everything felt practical, but still pulled together, which is exactly what I wanted for this trip.

There’s something about getting ready after a day on the slopes that feels like part of the ritual.
I joked that I was putting in all this effort for six green runs and a couple of Aperol Spritz, but honestly, that’s what made it fun. The shift from ski gear into something a little more styled always feels like a reset.
For après and dinner, I leaned into pieces that felt comfortable but still elevated. Soft knits, easy layers, and silhouettes that felt relaxed but intentional.
It’s that balance I always come back to, outfits that feel effortless, but still like you put a little thought into them.
Evenings in Chamonix had their own rhythm.
For dinner, I found myself reaching for a few go-to combinations that worked every time. A pair of AGOLDE wide leg jeans with a classic Ralph Lauren sweater felt easy and timeless. On another night, I styled Zara denim with a ski sweater and suede booties, a combination that felt just right for a cozy dinner setting.
There was also a really special moment getting ready alongside my daughter, both of us in outfits that felt different but still connected. Those are always the moments I end up remembering the most.
These looks weren’t overly complicated, but they felt considered, and that made all the difference.

If there’s one thing I took away from this trip, it’s that the right layers change everything.
I packed a mix of pieces that could be worn in different ways, base layers that felt soft and comfortable, outerwear that actually kept me warm, and a few lighter tones that made everything feel a little softer going into early spring.
Everything worked together, which made getting dressed each day feel simple. I didn’t have to overthink it, and that’s always the goal, especially when you’re traveling.
From ski ready outfits to everyday looks in town, these were the pieces that carried me through the entire trip.

Trips like Chamonix always remind me how important it is to pack with intention. It’s not about bringing more, it’s about bringing the right pieces. Things you know you’ll wear, that layer well, and that make getting dressed feel easy no matter what the day looks like.
For me, that meant:
When everything works together, you don’t have to think too much about your outfits, and that’s when getting dressed feels the best.
Looking back, this trip was a mix of ski days, slow mornings, afternoons in town, and dinners that felt just as memorable as the views.
The outfits followed that same rhythm, a combination of warm layers, ski ready staples, and a few softer, more elevated pieces for evenings and in between moments.
These are the pieces I wore on repeat, the ones that kept me warm, comfortable, and still feeling like myself.
I’ve linked a few of my favorites throughout the post for you, but overall, it’s less about any one piece and more about how everything comes together.

There’s something about a trip like this that reminds you how much easier everything feels when your wardrobe just works.
When the pieces are right, when they layer well, when they feel comfortable and still put together, getting dressed becomes effortless. And those are always the outfits I end up loving the most.
I’d love to know, what’s one piece you always pack for a winter trip like this?
