Spring Styles Under $30

kitchen wooden balcony

I love budget friendly fashion pieces that are actually so cute they look expensive! These spring styles under $30 were my last month's finds and I'd love to share them with you because they cause quite the stir when I wore them out!! First find is this jumpsuit made of a thin cotton fabric that's breathable and lightweight. I love the tie on the waist and adore the vintage floral print. The sleeveless and Capri length style makes this perfect for summer with a denim jacket for the cool breeze days! flower print tie waist jumpsuit $24 // sunnies comes in three colors // Helana knotted sandal // round rattan bag [show_shopthepost_widget id="3112077"] Next, I wore this bell sleeve mini-dress to an event in town and loved the buzz it created. Pictures don't do justice to…

Lulus Spring Essentials: Dresses, shorts, top and Jumpsuit.

piggy buns hair style and coral floral dress

Ladies, by now we are more than ready for the warm weather so hopefully, this post will inspire you to get some spring shopping done and pray pray pray for the sun to shine again here in the midwest!!! I've been experimenting with Lulus lately and have to say I'm impressed with their merchandise, price point, and customer service. So I'm doing a round up of my Lulus spring essentials and hope you'll join me and enjoy a look at my day wearing Lulus!! Lounging is one of my favorite things to, sadly I don't get to do much of it nowadays. But that doesn't prevent me from dreaming of those days. I used to love flipping the pages of a fashion magazine while I sipped my coffee and relaxed on the couch or…

White Easter Dress

Easter outfit ghingham shoes

Easter is literally a few days away and I'm so ready! To kick off this Holy Week I want to celebrate the resurrection of our Christ in style and in humbleness. Wearing my Sunday's best white eater dress AND having nothing but gratitude to show! I love Easter for so many reasons, colorful pastels, and sweet feelings. This is the season of the purples and lilacs, and I love it. But I do understand it might not be the best color for everyone. Also, it won't give you the same longevity as a neutral color. So I decided to style my very beloved (not to say old) LWD!! This one is at least 5 years old and I wear it EVERY spring and summer, multiple times. Now that's something fast-fashion won't give you!! Shop the…

Free People Spring Dresses

Free people counting daisies red dress

Guys I've been drooling over all the spring inspired looks on my screen, so when I found these two Free People dresses I knew I had to share them with you! So there I went with my girl Amber to venture into Indiana's lovely winter to create some inspiration of my own... I honestly (and biased) think we nailed these 2 looks, but let me tell you shooting these in a 30-degree weather is not what it seems! Hahaha that being said I have soooo much more respect for models who do photo shoots and model clothes for a living! Brrrrr About this Red Counting Daisies Off The Shoulder Dress (that also comes in yellow, navy and white). It's a full skirt, think doll dress with pockets (YES, how exciting is that!!!) and a thick linen fabric that…

Parker Smith Jeans & Broad Ripple Hangouts

Lack of color tan hat and cult gaia bag

Did I tell you about my latest denim obsession? Parker Smith Jeans it is. And to light up our gloomy winter days, I decided to take you around the hip Broad Ripple area in Indy to show you my favorite hangout spots while wearing my favorite Parker Smith Jeans! First stop The Garden Table. They have a gorgeous location downtown but I also love this smaller, more rustic version in BR. It's just as popping with a cool crowd! If you love fresh produce, health-conscious and delish gourmet brunch foods you'll definitely love this place. Not to mention some of the best cold-pressed juices in town! I'm all for their avocado toast with topped with an egg and the Hoosier Heater juice is my all-time favorite!! All Photos Credit to Amber Bryant from Images By…

Ironworks Hotel Indy – Preview it Through My Eyes

Pajama set karina style diaries

Hubs and I celebrated Christmas together a couple days earlier last month. We were gifted a "staycation" and had a remarkable stay at the Ironworks Hotel Indy, complete with a delicious date at the town's talk Provision Restaurant and brunch at the yummiest Rize Restaurant. It was such a nice escape from the craziness of the season and we were beyond impressed with the whole experience. Sometimes all we need is a night out to re-connect with our spouse and talk to each other and not about the kids!! I 100% recommend it :) Let me just tell you how beautiful this place looks even from the outside. It's so unique, like nothing I've ever seen. A combination of modern industrial atmosphere with refined touches of luxury, leathers and rustic woods. Upon entering the hotel we…

White Sweater Dress

Keyhole ray-bans winter style

There have been some great debates (over my mother-in-law's Sunday dinner table) about colors of clothes that goes better with a certain color of skin. Have you guys read or even heard of the Color me Beautiful book?? If not, it's basically a guide to help you choose colors that make you look your best based on the the "season" that your skin color fits in. I know it sounds confusing but it's actually a very interesting approach, except it's pretty limited and I honestly don't think we all fit into one category or "season" alone. I prefer the approach of warm, neutral and cool skin tones. For instance I'm a neutral, meaning I can wear warm or cool shades and look perfectly fine. Some skin tones are a true warm and a true cool…

Pre-Christmas Insta Roundup + End of Year Chat with Failures and Successes of 2017!

Karina style diaries and brixton

This is indeed the craziest busiest time of the month. Wrapping up the year is always hectic. I've been trying to not beat myself up so much for committing with SO MANY functions on the same week. Besides my full-time job and last-minute christmas shopping (and trust me we only get ONE present per kid, so no endless amounts of gifts) I have something going on every single evening of this week...talk about being wiped out! Tonight we'll go see the girls Christmas Concert, the first one for Sophia. Tomorrow will be my first day volunteering with a ministry I've been dreaming of being a part of (more on that to come!). Friday I have an amazing collab on the books that I'm not even the slightest bit ready for. Secret Santa with the…

Embroidered Dreamy Dress

I sure felt like a princess in a fairy-tale wearing this dreamy embroidered dress. Phazazz in tow and all made for a picture perfect day! I can surely see this Chicwish beauty strolling around Holiday parties and as a spring fling presence as well. And that my friends is what appeals to me most about this dress, it's versatility. I went for a simple fall vibe here with a pair of beige booties and wore my hair down in soft waves. Dress // Booties // Bag [show_shopthepost_widget id="2952763"] Other possibilities include (but are not limited to) a more elaborate occasion such as a holiday party as I mentioned or a nice dinner. I would wear it with a pair of nude or red pumps, or dressy booties with a stiletto heel. A (faux) fur coat would…

Oversized Sweater + The Best (affordable) OTK Boots

grey otk boots with pink sweater

Can't stop won't stop!! Well maybe I will give you guys a break from the girlish cuteness but only after this! Haha!! So, if you like the idea of the oversized sweaters but you're worried about being too cold to wear them alone (after all most of these won't fit under our jackets) I wanted to show you one I found to be as warm as a jacket, with bonus points for being soft to the touch and against skin plus some extra cuteness!  This Goodnight Macaroon  hand-knit giant oversized pompom cutie just won my heart! It's toasty and kept me warm layered with a thin tee to run errands outdoors in this super chilly day here in Indy. Pompom Cardi // OTK boots // white denim // sunnies // handbag // necklaces (use code KARINA…
