Hi friends! It has suddenly warmed up here in Indy and it’s feeling like summer! I love the warmer weather (maybe it’s the Brazilian in me!) and with more sunny days in the forecast, I’m reaching for my sunnies even more. Choosing the right pair of sunglasses can be overwhelming, especially if you’re going to invest a little more into a nice pair! I recommend paying attention to your face shape and figuring out what style of glasses look the most flattering on you! For example, if you have a round or oval face, you might want to try a pair of aviators or glasses with a cat-eye or butterfly shape. For square or rectangular face shapes, you could also try aviators or glasses with a more rounded shape. Oversized sunglasses might work for you too! For heart-shaped faces, check out a pair of wayfarers or glasses with rounded shapes and smaller frames.
The other major thing I look for in sunglasses is that they actually protect my eyes from the sun! Yes, that is the point of wearing sunglasses but not all sunnies are created the same! One brand I know I can always count on to be fashionable and functional is Maui Jim. Maui Jim uses patented polarized lens technology that eliminates glare and blocks harmful UV rays so I know my eyes are always protected. They’re actually recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation for the eyes and skin around the eyes! Plus, the polarized lenses make your views brighter, full of color, and clear – not simply darkened as other sunglasses will do. Hunny Buns and I have been trying out these sunglasses all season and we both love them! We both love that we don’t have to sacrifice quality for style! You can check out a few of our favorite pairs below!
Women’s Pua Sunglasses and Men’s Stone Shack Sunglasses
I love these sunglasses on Brian! I think they’re the perfect mix of masculine and stylish! We both love the light colored tortoise pattern on both of these glasses and I’m really into these oversized round glasses on me!
Women’s Mehana Sunglasses and Men’s Alenuihaha Sunglasses
These sunnies are my most-worn Maui Jims so far! They’re stylish and look so high-end! Brian likes that his pair are a little more sporty while still looking chic. These will be perfect for boat days!
Women’s Triton Sunglasses and Men’s Cliff House Sunglasses
I just learned that unfortunately, the Triton sunnies is no longer available, but the Pua is a similar shape with fun color options. Hunny Buns and I love the think metal rims on both these pairs!
