One of my favorite things about date night is getting a little more dressed up than usual. Whether we’re heading to dinner, celebrating something special, or simply making time for a night out together, I always find myself reaching for pieces that feel polished but still comfortable.
Over the years, I’ve learned that I don’t need an entirely new outfit every time we go out. Having a few go-to date night outfits makes getting ready so much easier, and they’re the pieces I continue reaching for season after season.
Today I’m sharing three of our recent date night looks, including one with Brian. If you’re looking for date night outfit ideas, a chic dinner outfit, or even outfit inspiration for him, I hope these give you a few ideas for your next night out.
This has quickly become one of my favorite date night combinations because it’s equal parts comfortable and put together.
The knit halter dress is made from the softest stretch jersey fabric and has beautiful ruching through the waist, which makes it incredibly flattering without feeling overly fitted. It’s one of those dresses you can wear to dinner and still feel comfortable sitting through an entire meal.
I layered it with the softest denim jacket that honestly feels more like your favorite sweatshirt than a traditional jean jacket. It adds just enough warmth for cooler evenings without taking away from the dress.
For reference, I’m wearing an XS in both the dress and jacket.
Brian kept things classic with a knit sweater polo paired with straight-leg denim. It’s such an easy formula that always looks polished without feeling too dressed up. His outfit would work for everything from a casual dinner date to drinks with friends, and I love how green polo adds a little color while still feeling timeless.
He’s wearing a size large in the polo and a 32 in the jeans.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed I have a soft spot for dresses that can work all year long.
This leopard print maxi is exactly that.
I love that the print makes a statement without feeling trendy, and the mesh fabric gives it such a flattering fit. It’s one of those dresses I can wear with sandals during the warmer months or layer with a jacket once the weather cools down.
I kept the accessories simple with neutral heels, a classic bag, sunglasses, and a few favorite jewelry pieces. Sometimes that’s really all an outfit needs.

If there’s one outfit formula I know I’ll never get tired of, it’s this one. A little white dress, an oversized blazer, a mini bag, and kitten heels.
It’s simple, feminine, and works for so many occasions. Whether you’re heading to dinner, celebrating a birthday, or meeting friends for drinks, it’s one of those combinations that always feels effortless.
The white knit dress has the prettiest details with its fitted ribbed bodice and softly textured skirt. It’s comfortable, flattering, and easy to style throughout the season.
Throwing a black blazer over the top instantly makes the outfit feel a little more elevated while still keeping it classic.

I always get questions about what Brian is wearing whenever I share photos of us together, so I wanted to include a little inspiration for the guys too.
His style has always been pretty simple. He gravitates toward classic pieces in neutral colors that can be mixed and matched without much thought.
A great knit polo, well-fitting denim, and clean sneakers or loafers are usually all he needs for a casual dinner date. They’re pieces he’ll wear over and over again, which is exactly how I like to shop too. Timeless basics never disappoint.
One thing all of these outfits have in common is that I kept the accessories simple. I’ve found that having a few timeless pieces I can mix and match makes getting dressed so much easier, whether it’s for date night, dinner with friends, or a special occasion.
From a classic mini bag and comfortable heels to everyday jewelry and sunglasses, these are the accessories I continue reaching for because they work with so many different outfits.

I’ve found that my favorite date night outfits all have one thing in common, they’re versatile.
Whether it’s a flattering knit dress, a fun printed maxi, or a classic little white dress, I love investing in pieces that can be worn for more than one occasion. Swapping accessories, adding a blazer, or changing shoes can completely transform a look without needing an entirely new outfit.
