My Favorite Timeless and Minimalist Jewelry

post featured image post featured image

Just as I am with my wardrobe, I’d consider myself to be a minimalist jewelry girl. I tend to lean towards dainty and timeless pieces that will last for years. I also think it’s important to have a mix of investment jewelry (that you can hand down to your kids) and more affordable everyday options.

There’s no denying that jewelry can make a big impact in the overall look and feel of an outfit, so I think it’s fun to incorporate it regardless of the occasion you’re dressing for.

While I have certain pieces that I wear on a daily basis, I often switch my accessories up depending on my mood, where I’m headed, and the season. The great thing about jewelry is that you can have fun with it and express yourself in a unique way.

Whether you’re in need of some everyday jewelry ideas or tips on how to style jewelry, you’ve come to the right place! Here, I’m sharing some photos of my go-to accessories, as well as a roundup of pieces I own and love or that I’m currently eyeing. All of these picks would make a great addition to your jewelry box, and they’re all at various price points.

Everyday Jewelry Ideas

Earrings

Of course earrings are a go-to jewelry item that many women wear on the regular. I personally have several ear piercings, which I think makes for a fun canvas to dress up.

Because I don’t want my jewelry look to get too busy, I stick with smaller, more simple earrings, like these studs and huggies. However, if you’re going on a date night or to a special event, classic hoops, dangly finds, and mixed metal earrings are always a good go-to!

Necklaces

Another way to instantly take an outfit up a notch? Add a necklace!

While wearing the same necklace every day isn’t for everyone, there are lots of budget-friendly options that you could reach for on more special occasions. This long yet thin necklace is a great pick for under $100 and I also love all the detailing on this pave heart pick.

My best tip when styling necklaces? Don’t be afraid to mix metals or layer a couple at a time. I adore a gold and silver combo — it can adds loads of visual interest and dimension to your overall look.

Rings

If you’re trying to decide which jewelry makes the most sense to invest in, I’d suggest that rings are. Generally speaking, rings can have the highest price point (especially if you’re considering anything with diamonds), and they’re one of the most universal accessories to wear.

During one of my trips to Paris, I splurged on the Cartier Trinity ring I had been swooning over for so long. It’s a piece that I have worn every day since. I was super drawn to the thin band and really wanted to make it special by engraving each one of my kids’ names on it. If you find a piece of jewelry that you can add a personal touch to, I’d highly recommended going for it!

If you’re in the market for more affordable ring options, you can’t go wrong with a basic thin band. These bands are fun to stack and add other rings to over time. You can also find thin bands with small diamond detailing if you want something with a little bit of sparkle.

Bracelets

Last but not least, bracelets are a tried-and-true jewelry choice for a variety of occasions. One major perk to bracelets is that you can find options that are really budget-friendly and others that are super high-end.

As you can see, I am more of a gold jewelry gal, but any of the bracelets I’m wearing in the photo below would look pretty in silver too.

When browsing for jewelry options, consider how often you plan on wearing the piece. If you want something you can put on and essentially never take off, I’d go with something dainty so it doesn’t bother you or get in the way.

This bar bracelet I’m wearing would be the ideal choice! And these ball bracelets have made a big comeback recently.

  1. […] If you want a more elevated look, opt for a lace trimmed cami as your top (it gives it such a feminine feel!) A white, beige, or rich brown colored tank would look really pretty with a cream colored skirt. Just add sandals or even a pair of heels, then accessorize with dainty gold or silver jewelry. […]
