ShopLocal: CosBar your beauty destination in the Rocky Mountains!

   Buying your goods from the the local shops is a way to keep them alive and going, besides the support of your community. That being said I know that’s not always possible, maybe they don’t have certain products or the shop really sucks… ouch!

   So when I found this awesome beauty shop in the heart of the Vail Village I thought WOW I have access to all of this right here and didn’t even know! So I felt the need to blog about such a place and let everyone know you have a beauty shop destination while on vacation!!!

   I went in looking for an illuminator or highlighter and found a great little product from Chanel that is neither one of those but works just like one! Let me explain, it’s the chanel ombre d’eau meant to be a very shiny eye shadow but if you place it on top of your cheek bone and under and on top of your brow bone it works wonders! I do my highlighter after all my make up is applied  but if you are using it for during the day I suggest mixing up with your foundation or placing it on your skin before foundation/tinted moisturizer, etc..

   Now, let me talk about the experience! Dawn was the makeup artist who assisted me and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products as well as what goes well with my complexion and what was not the most flattering palette for moi. Kathie is the store manager and equally sweet and knowledgeable about everything (obviously!!). They carry a lot of the high-end products such as Chanel, YSL, Sisley, and also some of the mid-price ones such as Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, etc.

Ended up getting my dream blush! Hope you can see it on these shots as they were the best I could do in my car 😉

    Just so you know I purchase a lot of products at the regular drugstore and love it -hello L’oreal, Sephora is also a great place to get lost in the cosmetic world but not available around these parts 😉 in fact the last time I felt the need for something a bit more special than the regular grocery store finds I purchased a blush online at Sephora and as I thought the color was nothing like the one pictured. So, even though I still OK with it there’s nothing like going to a place and testing the product out on your skin with helpful professionals guiding you! It’s called instant gratification less shipping!!

   So check them out if you happen to be here, they have exciting events such as the equivalent of “beauty week” from major retailers with makeup artists from different makeup lines.
