While I like to stick to a fairly streamlined skincare routine, I always find it fun to switch up my beauty products from time to time. I was craving a little refresh in my lineup, so I did some research on what people are loving lately and put all of those items to the test. Unsurprisingly, I found a handful of makeup, hair, and even some skincare items that I’m excited to incorporate into my regimen moving forward.
Whether you’re also looking to spruce things up or you’re curious about a particular product, I’m sharing all the details on my updated routine below.
All of these picks are ideal for summer and fall wear because they’re lightweight and have a “fresh” feel. Who doesn’t want that?!
If you love the ritual of using an eye cream at night, this anti-aging serum will be your new go-to for daytime wear. I’ve been using it in the mornings before I put on makeup and can already tell it has made a difference when it comes to my dark circles and tendency to get puffy. I’ve been describing it as a “shot of espresso for the eyes.”
It’s made with seaweed, hyaluronic acid, caffeine and peptides that blur fine lines and smooth out crow’s feet. I’m also a big fan of the cool and refreshing roller ball applicator (which feels so good to apply in the AM!) If you’re traveling a lot or you feel like your skin is struggling, trust me when I say that this is a must.

One thing I really love in a makeup product is when it features skincare properties. When you wear something regularly, it’s nice to know it’s actually doing something for your skin.
This matte foundation fits the bill, and while it’s a splurge, I think it’s fully worth it. It applies like a dream and offers just the right amount of coverage without feeling heavy or “cakey.” I also appreciate that it pairs well with a variety of concealers and that it leaves me with a smooth (and almost airbrushed) base.
Another pick I’ve been using on the regular? This setting powder, which is worthy of all the fuss that has been made over it. It sets your makeup with ease while keeping your skin hydrated and natural looking. I’d suggest incorporating this in more lengthy makeup routines or on days when you really need your look to last.
I always prefer makeup brushes that serve more than one purpose. Multi-use brushes allow you to save space in your makeup bag (and they’re just more economical in the long run.) You can use the smaller, tapered side in your under-eye area and the larger, rounded side to apply powder or blush all over your face. Bonus: It’s easy to clean with soap and water.
You’re either team eyeliner or you prefer to skip this step, but if you want to define your eyes and make them pop, this eyeliner will help you achieve just that. I apply it along my inner lash line and think it takes my look to a whole new level. It’s fairly easy to use and has a creamy consistency that stays put throughout the day.
I didn’t necessarily feel like I had to switch up my mascara (there are lots that I love) but I wanted to try this one after seeing that it’s a cleaner option. I always prefer products that are made with better-for-you ingredients, but sometimes they lack quality. That’s certainly not the case with this mascara, which lengthens and lifts my lashes with ease. It’s easy to apply and build without getting those dreaded clumps — plus, a little bit goes a long way!
I know hair products can be particularly tricky to love — so many of them just don’t live up to the hype. However, after seeing this styling cream all over Instagram, I decided to give it a try.
As you can assume by it being on this list, I was impressed. It’s so versatile because you can use it before you style your hair or after to add some moisture back to dry strands. It also has the fruitiest smell that I find perfect for this season.
If you need a new everyday lip product, this would be my top recommendation. It provides so much hydration (I’m talking 24 hours+) I keep one in my car, my desk drawer, and in my vanity. It also leaves you with a very natural look and comes in the prettiest colors. I wear shade “Rosewood Blush.”
This is another good lip option if you want something with a more glossy finish. It’s comparable to the Lip Oil Stick above but it has a shiny look and a light plumping effect. I’ve been liking it in the shade “Nude Pleasure” but it also comes in a clear option.
I’m sure you’ve all seen this cult-favorite fragrance by this point. I’m a little bit late to the game on this one, but now I understand what all the fuss was about. It truly has the most refreshing and clean scent — and it’s subtle enough for everyday wear. This will be a staple in my beauty lineup from this point out!
Summer can do a number on your skin — lots of sun, traveling, and lack of hydration can cause you to look a bit…lackluster. This balm has been a lifesaver for providing moisture back to my body. It’s packed with anti-aging ingredients which can help improve the appearance of skin elasticity (while also firming things up!) It also feels sooooo luxe to apply post-shower and has an inviting jasmine, rose, and geranium scent.
