My Tried-and-True Tatcha Skincare Review

post featured image

I know firsthand that creating a solid, go-to skincare routine can be a major challenge. It honestly can just seem like an endless task to find products that work well with your skin texture while also offering a lot of benefits.

Through lots of trial and error, I have luckily been able to nail down a solid regimen that works well for my skin (throughout all seasons.) While I use a mix of brands to get the best results, a handful of the products I like to use on a daily basis happen to be from Tatcha.

It’s likely that you’ve come across Tatcha skincare while browsing in Sephora or scrolling Instagram, but if you have yet to try any of their products out, this post will help you pick which ones to start with.

Here, I’m sharing my honest Tatcha skincare review. I’ve had these all in my lineup for quite some time now and can confirm that they’re worth the hype. Everything else you need to know is below!

Tatcha the Camellia Cleansing Oil

This is a relatively new product in the Tatcha skincare lineup and after using it, I don’t think I could ever go back to using another cleansing oil. This one just melts away makeup so easily and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh.

I appreciate that it’s a two-in-one product, meaning it not only removes makeup but also cleanses and purifies your skin. You could definitely double wash with another cleanser if you’d like, but I personally don’t feel like you have to (and I like to keep my skincare routine as simple as possible.)

Tatcha the Rice Wash

I know that finding the perfect face cleanser is a tough and veryyyy tedious task. So much of it depends on your skin type and personal preferences….Do you like a gel cleanser or foam? Do you prefer fragrance or are you drawn to something unscented?

This Rice Wash is gentle and non-stripping, two important qualities when you have sensitive or dry skin. I love that when you apply it, it starts out with a creamy consistency then lathers into a cloud-like foam. It always leaves my skin feeling soft, creating a clean and fresh canvas for me to apply my other skincare products.

Overall, this would be a great face wash to add to your routine if you have sensitive skin. It doesn’t feel harsh while still offering a thorough cleanse.

Tatcha the Silk Serum

If you’re someone who can’t exactly tolerate retinol, this Silk Serum is the perfect alternative. It’s formulated with a plant-based complex which acts as a retinol, minus the harsh and irritating ingredients. It also has silk protein in it, which works to smooth and plump fine lines.

You can use this in the morning and/or at night, thanks to its gentle ingredients. Just be sure to use it before your moisturizer or SPF if you’re using it during the day.

Another thing to note is that this serum does have a slight shimmer to it. I find that it adds a nice, glowy touch to my look, but if that’s something that might bother you, then I’d suggest opting for something else.

Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum

I believe that I’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but this Overnight Repair Serum is actually one of Tatcha’s best-selling products—and for good reason.

The consistency is super thick and luxe, which I find especially appealing during the fall and winter months. I’m also a big fan of this cream because just a little bit goes a really long way (which is so important when you’re spending a lot on skincare products!)

As the name mentions, this serum is meant to be used overnight. It’s formulated to calm irritation and strengthen your skin’s barrier for an overall healthier, more vibrant complexion. It’s also fragrance-free, which is an added perk for those of you who have particularly sensitive skin.

I use this cream as the final step during my nighttime skincare regimen and have seen noticeable changes in how smooth and hydrated my skin stays. Whether you struggle with dry and cracked skin or you need a moisturizer with some extra power during the winter, this is your best bet.

Tatcha the Essence

Made for all skin types, this treatment offers a major glow-up while improving uneven texture, dryness, and dullness. It’s essentially a product that does it all.

You’re supposed to use it after you cleanse your face and before you apply any other skincare products.

It’s lightweight and easily seeps into your skin when you gently press it into your face and neck. It also can boost the efficacy and benefits of your daily moisturizer, so it’s a great go-to during these dry and cold months.

Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum

Beyond the beautiful packaging, this brightening serum is an essential if you’re dealing with dark spots or fine lines and wrinkles. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to try and fade spots (in my case, melasma.) It takes a lot of time and patience to see results, but it’s totally doable if you stick to the right products.

I’ve definitely seen improvement in my skin since incorporating this serum into my routine, and over 1,500 glowing reviews on Sephora confirm that I’m not alone in this.

I love that while it’s made with powerful ingredients, it doesn’t leave your skin red or irritated.

Tatcha the Water Cream

This is often one of the first products people try when they’re first introduced to Tatcha—and it’s definitely one I’d recommend. It also comes in a mini size if you’d rather not commit to the full-size version.

The Tatcha Water Cream is an oil-free, pore minimizing moisturizer that provides a hefty dose of hydration to tired skin. It absorbs quickly and is ideal to use morning and night.

Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen

Of course no skincare routine would be complete without a trusted sunscreen (preventative skincare is the way to go!) I frequently find myself reaching for this one, which blends so smoothly and doesn’t leave you with that dreaded greasy feel.

Another perk? It blurs the appearance of your pores, leaving you with matte, silky-looking skin.
