The Ultimate Sephora Shopping List: Everything I Buy and Love

post featured image

The Sephora Spring Savings Event is officially upon us, which is why I thought I’d put together a full list of everything I use and love from the store. Sephora is obviously a go-to for all things skincare, makeup, and hair, and I know many of you look forward to this big sale every year.

Whether you’re having a little shopping spree (and stocking up on all of the essentials) or you’re just looking for some new recommendations, you’re in the right spot!

I’ve separated this post into different categories to make it easier for you to sort through: Morning skincare, evening skincare, everyday makeup, high coverage makeup (for nights out/special events), hair products, and tools. All of the items featured in this post are truly things I love and use—and reorder all the time!

I’ve done the legwork to create a list of items that are actually worth spending your money on, whether that’s a high coverage foundation, hydrating hair mask, or a pretty blush. I hope this makes navigating the sale a bit easier on your end. Happy shopping!

p.s. If you have any questions about these products or the sale in general, please let me know in the comment section at the end of this post.

My Favorite Products From Sephora

Morning Skincare Products

– If you’re looking for a gentle and lightweight cleanser that’s good for everyday use, this is it.

– It is soooo hard to find a vitamin C serum that actually fades dark spots. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve found myself coming back to this one, which makes a noticeable difference in my hyperpigmentation.

– I love a product that delivers an instant pick-me-up, and that’s certainly the case with this Tatcha Face Oil. It seeps into my skin with such ease and leaves me looking so dewy and refreshed. It can also be used in your hair!

– Eye creams are another beauty product that take a lot of testing out. However, this firming and hydrating eye concentrate from is a long time favorite of mine. I couldn’t imagine my morning routine without it and promise that investing a bit in a high quality eye cream is fully worth it.

– As far as a daily moisturizer goes, I typically reach for the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream (which is great for the anti-aging benefits) or Summer Fridays Rich Cushion Cream (gentle and soothing for skin that’s breaking out.)

– If you want to simplify your skincare and makeup routine, this 5-in-1 product is a must. It works as a tinted moisturizer and SPF, and it offers a variety of skincare benefits as well. I love that it has a whipped texture, which glides on smoothly and feels so luxe.

This lip oil has been my new go-to during the winter and spring months (when transitional weather does a number on my dry skin.) I love it so much for a pop of color and deep hydration.

Evening Skincare Products

– I’ve shared this oil cleanser many times before and will continue to rave about it. It really works wonders at removing makeup (without requiring you to rub your eyes too much) and it also keeps your face super moisturized.

– This Makeup Eraser Cloth is one of my best-kept skincare secrets, but I’m not going to gate-keep the info from you! Whether you wear makeup every day or just on special occasions, this ultra-soft cloth will remove it so much easier. Just add water to it and gently wipe the products off of your skin.

– Like I mentioned above, I have tried a lot of eye creams and this is another one that totally passes my tests. It’s on the pricier side but I’m confident you’ll love it as much as I do. Plus, a little bit goes a long way so one jar should last you quite a while.

– Slathering on a deeply hydrating and restorative moisturizer at night is crucial for maintaining a healthy glow. I switch off between using this Indigo Overnight Repair Serum and this Squalane + Ecotin Overnight Rescue Cream—both are great for restoring your skin barrier.

– There are a handful of lip masks out there that deliver good results, but nothing compares to this one. It smells so good, isn’t sticky, and actually leaves your lips softer and smoother.

Everyday Makeup

– If I had to choose just one product to use in my everyday makeup routine, this CC+ Matte Foundation would be it. I wear the shade neutral tan (for summer) or medium neutral (year-round.)

– I mix this lightweight illuminator with my foundation for a dewy and glowy look from within—super natural looking and easy to incorporate!

– I use this $20 gel in the dark brown color and love the dimension it gives to brows.

– One problem I have with mascaras is that many of them smudge throughout the day. That is certainly not the case with this tubing mascara, which goes on evenly (no clumps!)

– If you’ve never tried a liquid eyeshadow, this is your sign to. I’ve been using this product as my main eyeliner for over 4 years, so you can safely assume I’m obsessed with it. I wear the shade “Wood” and use a pencil brush to smudge it (I use the Sigma ones.)

– Another staple for me on the eyeliner front? This Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. It stays put, is easy to apply, and is a fair price point. I wear the brown shade.

– I could not love this blush more than I do. It’s so pigmented, is long-wearing, and applies like a dream. I have it in three shades and I’m hitting pan on one of them. If you’re undecided on which color to go with, my favorite is “She’s Blushing.”

– Looking for a bronzer/contour duo that actually has a natural finish? Try this one (which can also be used as an eyeshadow!) I wear the shade “She’s Sculpted.”

– I always have this Patrick Ta Matte Eyeshadow Palette on hand. The colors are ideal for everything from day to day wear to a more glam, night out look. I also love that this palette has a matte black shadow option, which is so hard to find.

– If you’re one of my newsletter subscribers then you know I’ve shared my love for this highlighter many times. It leaves you with a subtle and pretty glow and is truly worth every single penny. I wear the “Golden Glow” shade.

– This Pat McGrath Lip Trio is a more recent find that I had to include on this list. It comes in a convenient mini size which is ideal to take with you while traveling. I’m so obsessed with this product now that I’m ordering the full sizes during the sale. Honestly, I’ve been impressed with all the Pat McGrath lip products and eyeshadow palettes!

Higher Coverage Makeup

– It should come as no surprise that the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation is a must-have from Sephora. Aside from offering the best coverage, I appreciate that it has skincare ingredients in it—a win-win.

– I use this mini eyeshadow palette to create a great smokey eye. A little bit is all you need—quick, easy, and so pretty for a more dramatic look.

– I have a deep love for this Gucci Blush. I swear it has the best staying power and it’s definitely one of my holy grail makeup products. If you want to know more about why I’m such a fan of it, read this full review.

– Doesn’t everyone crave that illuminated, naturally glowy look? This illuminator is another favorite of mine that lasts FOREVER and gives you that exact result. One drop does a lot, and it’s easy to mix with foundation or to wear on its own for a subtle and gorgeous glow.

– You really could wear the Huda Beauty lipsticks on an everyday basis, but I tend to reserve them for nights out/days when I want a more glam look. I have their lipstick in 5 colors, however I always need a gloss because they are pretty drying. With that being said, I keep repurchasing them because they’re super long-wearing (just be sure to re-apply a lip gloss when using them.)

– This Saie Lip Gloss Oil has been my most loved formula lately because it’s actually hydrating and offers high-shine.

Hair Products

– I know everyone raves about the Dyson hair dryer and I can confirm that it’s really worth all the hype. It’s a tried and true tool that I wouldn’t want to style my hair without. If you’ve been thinking about making the splurge, now is the time to do it.

– Ever since I shared this Shark FlexStyler, it has been one of my best-selling products. It’s relatively new and I’ve been loving it for a quick blowout that holds up throughout the day. If you’ve been tempted to buy the AirWrap, go for this instead. I prefer it because it holds my style better and it’s also half the price!

This curling iron is my most-used styling tool. Does the job in a quick way and I never feel like it’s overheating my hair.

– I’m honestly a fan of all the Kerastase products, but this strengthening serum is really what keeps my hair feeling healthy and fresh. I add a few drops of pure rosemary oil to my bottle and use this on my roots when I wash my hair.

– I put my hair through a lot between styling and coloring and this rice water spray treatment really helps to strengthen it. If you have dry or damaged hair, this is an essential.

– I have gone through many hair oils in the past and can say that this is THE best one out there. You can use it before and after a blowout since it has heat-protectant.

– I really love the Reset line from Shu Uemura. If your hair is looking a bit lifeless, try their shampoo or their mask (which is formulated for very damaged strands.)

– Another product that I rotate through is the Kerastase Nutritive Ultra-Hydrating Mask. It’s super rich and thick, and I can tell a big difference in the quality and strength of my hair after using it.

– Adding a finishing oil to your hair after styling it can seal in moisture and make your style last longer. I like this one a lot and will even add it to my ends the next day for a little refresh. It also smells amazing!

– I use this spray for volume and good texture when I want a post-salon look.

– And if you need a hairspray that holds your style without giving you that dreaded hard and crunchy feel, this is the option for you.

Tools

– Choosing makeup brushes is so individualized yet I know these are so universally loved. I always have this blush brush, bronzer brush, and nose brush in my makeup bag.

– Don’t sleep on the Sephora Collection sponges! They do the same thing as more expensive options.

– If you’ve been a long-time reader of the blog then you know I love gua sha. This rose quartz one that’s made by Sephora gets the job done (and it’s so inexpensive!)

– I’ve been using this eyelash curler for 15 years and swear by it for lashes that actually stay curled.
