My Quiet Luxury Morning and Night Skincare Routine

post featured image

Within the last couple of months, I feel like I’ve been practically living on an airplane (many of my flights have been 9+ hours). My skin has struggled a lot as a result of all the travel I’ve been doing, as well as from the recent weather changes.

I took this as a sign that I needed to refresh my skincare routine — not only to help my skin out, but also to accommodate the cooler temperatures we’re seeing. If you’ve followed me for a while, you might know that I struggle with melasma, which makes a solid morning and night skincare routine even more important.

To level up my routine, I’ve been focusing on using better products with high quality ingredients. I realized that I should take just as good of care of my face as I do the rest of my body, which led me to all of the products I’m sharing below.

Each of these steps in my routine have become an essential part of my skin’s health. While these products all have higher price points, I can honestly say that they have been worth the investment. Over the last month or so of following this regimen, my skin has looked brighter and more vibrant — who doesn’t want that?

Below, find my new and much improved morning and night skincare routine. If you have any questions about these products, please let me know in the comment section — I’m here to help!

More than a luxury, all of the these little treasures are now a non-negotiable in my beauty routine. These are items that I think are really worth the splurge, especially if you have skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, dark spots, or melasma.

As with most things, the key to achieving the best results is consistency. Luxury skincare can feel intimidating, but I truly believe that you get what you pay for. Better products will yield better results, and your skin is sure to thank you over time.

Without further ado, here’s the quiet luxury-inspired regimen I’m following.

My Morning Skincare Routine

Step 1: Joanna Czech C+ Serum

After I wash my face, I apply this vitamin C serum, which is gentle and ideal for dehydrated, dull skin. It’s also lightweight and fast absorbing, making it easy to use before putting on makeup.

Step 2: Dr. Barbara Super Anti Aging Eye Cream

This has been one of my go-to eye creams lately and I can already see how much it has brightened my tired eyes. It works wonders on puffiness, adds a ton of moisture to your skin, and can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Just pat it gently around your eyes in the morning (and at night if you want an extra boost!)

Step 3: Joanna Czech The Cream

If your skin is in desperate need of some hydration, this lightweight cream will offer it a hefty dose. I love using my hands and practicing gua sha to massage it into my skin. You can also apply it to your décolleté for some extra oomph (skincare should go all the way down to your chest.)

Step 4: Therabody TheraFace Mask

While you can use this mask morning or night, I’ve most recently been putting it on during the day. It’s an LED skincare mask that delivers full-face red, red and infrared, and blue LED light treatments. The results? Firmer, smoother, and overall healthier-looking skin.

If you have fine lines or dark spots, or if you just want to be proactive about protecting your complexion, this gadget is a must. It’s super easy to use (just takes 15 minutes) and has a vibration therapy setting which I find to be ultra-relaxing.

Step 5: Loewe Esencia Eau de Parfum

After I’ve completed all of my morning skincare, I like to finish off with this perfume. It’s made with essential oils and has a combo of floral, woody, smoky, and spicy notes — the perfect everyday scent.

My Night Skincare Routine

Step 1: Ranavat Radiant Rani Brightening Saffron Serum

I can’t recommend this product enough if you have dark spots or hyperpigmentation. Like I mentioned above, I have melasma, but it has been so much better since I started incorporating this serum into my routine.

It’s made with saffron, which works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as turmeric, which soothes irritation and redness. It’s also formulated with licorice root, a powerhouse ingredient that fades dark spots from all skin types.

Step 2: Guerlain Abeille Royale Advance Youth Watery Oil

This serum is one of my favorite little luxuries. It’s a water to oil serum that you can use either during the day or at night. I’ve been loading myself up with oils, serums, and heavy creams lately, which has kept my skin subtle and hydrated throughout the weather changes.

Step 3: Lancome Absolue Revitalizing Eye Cream

If you have crows feet or tend to get dry spots around your eyes, this cream will be your new favorite. It’s the perfect layer to add before putting on makeup. Plus, just applying it feels decadent in and of itself.

Step 4: Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum

This is one of Tatcha’s best-selling products, and for good reason. It’s such a thick and beautiful cream and just a little dab goes a long way. I love the smell and think it’s another great product to use if your skin is really dry or sensitive.

  1. Hi Karina
I enjoy all of the Lancome products. Their serums are great, I’ve been using their triple serum and Renergerie moisturizer . All of the products by this brand are great and worth the price.
    Thanks!
