My Official Pique Matcha Review (and How I Make it)

post featured image

Don’t get me wrong, I love a warm cup of coffee as much as the next gal. Everything from the ritual to the taste to the caffeine boost keeps me coming back for more. But with that being said, ever since I first tried matcha, I’ve been hooked.

One big reason so many people are turning to matcha these days is because there are countless health benefits to incorporating it into your routine (or to switching your coffee out for matcha entirely.) While I drink matcha on the regular, I admittedly still do go through periods of time when I’m really on a coffee kick. As always, finding what works best for you, your energy levels, and your body is the key.

If you’re curious about all things matcha or if you’ve heard good things about the Pique brand, this post is for you. Here, I’m sharing my official Pique Matcha review, including how I make it, what I love about it, and more.

Matcha Benefits

While you can certainly get lost in research about the numerous benefits of matcha, a few things that stand out to me include:

– High antioxidant levels

– Slow caffeine release for more sustained energy

– Liver detox properties

– Supports a healthy complexion

– Promotes healthy collagen levels

Again, these are a just a few of the benefits, but they seem to be the most noticeable and universally appreciated perks. Out of all of these, I’d say that the slow and sustained energy matcha gives me is what I appreciate the most. I feel so much more energized when I drink matcha rather than coffee. I really don’t get the jitters or experience the dreaded post-caffeine crash like I typically do with coffee.

Also, if you’re someone who looks forward to indulging in an afternoon cup of coffee or tea, you’ll love switching to matcha because it won’t make you feel wired. I can drink this Pique tea well past noon and still feel like I can fall asleep easily at night (and who doesn’t want that?!)

How to Make Pique Matcha

If you want to indulge in a cup of iced matcha, add one Pique packet to 12 ounces of cold water and shake or stir. Craving something hot? Add your matcha packet to an empty cup and stir in 12 ounces of warm water. Tip: Don’t use boiling water as it can compromise the flavor.

Regardless of how you prepare it, you can mix in any syrups, sweeteners, or milk that you prefer. I typically use a small amount of agave syrup and a splash of oat or almond milk in mine—this results in a creamy and luxe latte. Oh, and you can also use a frother if you want to level things up further!

Why Pique Matcha?

I get a lot of questions about whether or not I think the Pique Sun Goddess Matcha is worth it, and the answer is undoubtedly a big yes. I realize that it’s definitely more pricey when compared to other options on the market, but that’s because it’s made with unmatched quality.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my health and wellness journey, it’s that investing a bit more in high-quality, safer options is fully worth it. Pique matcha goes through a hefty screening process that checks for common issues like heavy metals, mold, and pesticides. I don’t know about you but I’d certainly rather pay a bit more to know I’m getting a quality product that’s free of those things!

Also, as far as the taste goes, I’ve found that I prefer Pique over anything else. I still do love to order to occasional matcha latte when I’m out and about, but this is a tried-and-true staple in my routine these days. Once you try it, you won’t want to make the switch back!
